Master Pizza

An all deserving 5 star rating. Where shall I begin. I moved to union a year ago, and being Italian, I love my pizza and Italian food. The pizza here is out of the world good! You can taste the dough, the sauce, and cheese (and toppings If you choose). Every bite is packed of flavor. Which is something I look for in food. The slices are BIG! I always go in starving and order 2 slices. I never finish! Always taking half home for a midnight snack. I recently had the «Italian hotdog» slice. It had hotdog slices, peppers, onions, and some cheese underneath. No sauce. I asked for ketchup on the side. I tasted it without ketchup and it was delish!!! I had to use a fork and knife bc there was an abundance of toppings on it. Which is great! After all, that’s what you’re paying for so you expect quality and quantity. And they delivered both! I then tasted it with ketchup. I must admit, I felt weird Dipping pizza in ketchup, but it was fantastic! My second slice was plain with pepperoni, black olives and onions. Absolutely amazing. Not too much onion where it over powers all the other flavors and not just a little. It was perfect. Again, huge slices! We also got garlic knots with sauce on the side. Can I say heavenly!!! Not too greasy, just the right amt of it. And the garlic was noticeable but not overpowering at all. Sauce is fantastic as well. I highly recommend going there. The service is very efficient and friendly, clean and positive atmosphere. Prices are typical for a pizza joint. Worth every penny. You will leave smilimg, full belly, and wanting to go back. Bravo!

Trust me on this I am a tough food critic. This four stars is a big compliment though. I got a order for delivery and it came surprisingly quicker than most other places. The pizza was fresh out of the oven and hot. But that wasn’t just it, I like the thicker crust and it had a good crunch to it. Definitely a place I would go back to.

Not too sure what happened last time I went but the cracker thin crust was overdone with cheese. making it soggy, limp, and tasteless as the amt of cheese drowned out the taste of the sauce. Also was not well done at all as requested. Probably a one time thing. All other items were still good.

My only con about this place is the manager I had eaten here the night before and they had the smallest selection but it was near closing time not their fault at all I had a honey mustard chicken (My first time) it was fantastic right down to the crispy crust, it was so good I went back the very next day, well they were very busy with phone orders as I looked over the large selection of slices they had.
an employee had called for his work schedule and the manager had a HISSY FIT right there in front of me and hung up the phone asked what I wanted so I ask whats your favorite his reply was there all good I don’t eat pizza, so he showed me his true colors and I feel sorry for his workers, it was some of the best pizza I had I will return so people tip the workers well as for the owner he needs a serious attitude adjustment. chill babe lifes too short

I normally get delivery, but today was the first day I decided to do ‘pick-​up’. So, I went ahead and ordered online, entered all of my cc information, and drove to union to wait on my delicious Brando Wrap.
The only issue I have with them is their location: I couldn’t find their parking lot for the life of me. Pulled into the tanning salon parking lot before I stupidly realized it was reserved for them. I passed what looked like a driveway, but was too paranoid my car would get wrecked in that dinky lot so I pulled on the side street. No biggie, but I was super confused as to how 4 places share the size of a driveway without having any vehicle issues.
Anywho, the interior of MP is pretty! The staff is very friendly and their service is quick ! My only qualm was the fact the manager/​person in charge told me they don’t charge cards online, so he had to run it again. Coming from someone who’s had their cc # stolen a couple of times, I was nervous. Next time I’m going to select ‘cash upon pick up’ because now I’m freaked our they have all of my info.
All in all, A– for the food (their «„chips“» are always friggin’ stale), their service, and their lack of parking. I’ll order from them again some day, but I may not do pick up ever again. .

After some slight confusion on whether our order was for pick-​up or delivery, we received our «Grande» (their largest size, 16″) Seafood pizza on an «old thin crust» topped with sauteed scallops, clams, and shrimp and marinara sauce delivered within 20 minutes of calling around dinnertime. As the first time I’ve had that combination, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Their old thin crust which was recommended for this soupier type of pie was pretty close to a standard crust. Their Garlic Knots were moderately crispy on the outside while soft on in the inside and their cannolis were okay.

Two stars for the chicken wings, they’re actually pretty awesome. I’ve been pretty disappointed with the pizza lately though. The last 3 times I’ve ordered, it’s come out much too burnt. I understand it’s brick oven pizza, but the charring was overdone to the point where it’s inedible. Third time’s not a charm in this case. I’ll stick with Proud Papa’s for pizza from now on.

Nice clean place, but please bring back the freshly baked wheat rolls for subs, last time I ordered an Italian sub on wheat, i received a hard somewhat stale wheat roll when always in the past for that extra dollar or so the chef would use wheat dough and craft a freshly made wheat bread with the most perfect texture from the ovens, nicely cooked with a hint of crunchy-​just-​baked-​bread on the bottom, not overly «bready», was really just right and worth the extra dollar and extra time. Have only ordered pizza after that sub was unfortunately under whelming in comparison… Gotta bring that back guys or give an option instead of the other already baked wheat roll.

Not sure why I’ve never ordered from this place, maybe because of the many other options in Union. This is the only place in union that sells pesto pasta and i was very happy to see that. I got the Penne with pesto and it was excellent. Also the cheese steak with peppers and onion was very good. Pricing is very reasonable also.

I was not very please with master pizza today. I order from them quite frequently because I work a block away. They still charge me the $ 1.25 delivery fee which I think is pathetic. Also, I was given a dish today that looked like straight up poop. It was drowning in balsamic vinegar, no chicken in the meal, and it simply looked disgusting. Not presentable at all. I called to complain and the manager insisted it was what I had ordered and there was nothing he could about it. He was very much a stickler, but finally he agreed to send me something else on the menu for free. Today’s service was horrible. We have had other issues at the office as well when ordering with them. They were definitely much better when they first opened.

Wraps are great here but it stops at that. Ordered with coworkers the other day, I had a cold grilled cheese with bacon, the cheese was barely on the bread. Coworkers had cold and stale fries. Not the the first time I tried ordering something other than a wrap.

I had been searching for a quality pizza place since moving here from NYC and Master Pizza has finally delivered. I’m so glad they opened a location near me and they are now my go-​to pizza place.

Highly impressed! Master Pizza is what Union has been longing for. Its sbout time Union has great Pizza. I love their Brushetta gourmet pizza. It is mouth watering with fresh ingredients and gourmet cheese. Their food is made to order. They offer delivery service which in my opinion is the best since they have several delivery employees constantly going in and for delivers. Your order is not left out nor is it put under a heating lamp. Their staff is courteous and friendly. I have also had their ribeye steak wrap, Giants wrap, Gormanator hot sub and their Pasta e Fagioli soup. All have exceeded my expectations

Im a returning customer, and I had a really bad experience at this place, I walked in at the end of the day and I simply asked if they had any end of the day specials, and the manager was really nasty and gave me attitude, if you have a problem go home, don’t take out on your paying customers, way to attract customers to came back, never again…
The pizza never made it to the oven, your guy was just starting to stretch the dough, and your manager attitude made me change my mine, I walked out quitely and he was making sarcastic comments to me, and then he followed me to my car, honestly I felt I bit nervous, these days pleople do very stupid things, and I felt threatened, bottom line is, You have the wrong people behind the counter.

Unbelievable food! They take pride in preparation and service. I’m having the Broccoli and Chicken White Pizza. UNBELIEVABLE!

I am in like :) The pizza is very good. I recommend the white pizza with broccoli or try the meat lovers yummy! Staff greets you from the door very welcoming. Quick lunch up the street from my job.

Ordered take out here. Usually enjoy calamari cause their breaking is better than other local places. But this time, they disappointed me. They sent and sold us brick hard calamari. You can literally crack it with bare hands like a chip. Totally in edible which was a big shame. Chicken was ok. Expected nuclear to be hotter. BBQ pizza not so smothered in BBQ which was good. But poor poor quality chicken. Hard too. So much for being a ‘master’. Use fresh ingredients! Only send out and sell food that you’d eat too.

Ordered for the first time today. Not impressed. Veggie pizza was bland and tasteless; I needed to cover in hot sauce. Chicken noodle soup was disgusting. I couldn’t eat it. Chicken must have been microwaved, I’ve had better soup from a can. My boyfriend did enjoy his buffalo chicken pizza however. It does have more of a BBQ chicken taste though. We aren’t ordering from here again.

I’ve ordered from here several times and every time, the food has been great! I was really sad when the previous pizza place that had been at this location, Joey’s, went out of business, but Master Pizza has definitely made up for that loss. The menu is huge as well! Of the things I’ve ordered, the chicken cutlet pizza is amazing!
Reading some of the other reviewers, I have this to offer: this is an Italian-​style pizzeria which means they use more of a thin-​crust style. So if you are used to the more «fast food» pizza style (Domino’s, Papa John, etc) this may not be the place for you. Also, they make everything fresh so I don’t think they have heat lamps like the fast food pizza places, and I’m glad they don’t! Also, the pizza sizes, in inches, are clearly listed on the menu so if you didn’t take the time to read the menu you shouldn’t complain about the size of the pie you got.
Anyway, I would recommend this place highly. The people are very friendly, and I get the sense that if I ever was unhappy with something I got, they would be happy to make me another dish to replace it.

I love this place. I do I do! Their food is fantastic. Their service is even better. At my office we order quite a bit online and I have never had an order messed up or the food less than fantastic.
Tip order the Panna (A creamy white parmigiana sauce with peas and prosciutto) it is even better with fettuccine noodles.
Garlic knots are pretty amazing as well!
