This review is for the Banana Jackfruit, Magherita, Chicken Pot Pie and the classic only! I drove all the way to Fremont just to try this food truck and I was not disappointed at all. Let me start with the Banana jackfruit. It was a sweet dessert paired with nutella. The sauce compliment it so well I can eat a bunch! 2nd, the Magherita. Who would have thought that you can put a pizza topping on a lumpia wrapper? This is a simple egg roll but flavorful. 3rd, Chicken Pot Pie. I actually forgot what it was and I was trying to figure out what the sauce was too. LoL The sauce was creamy and tasty same as the roll. This is the winner for me! 4th, The Classic. Can I have one order of rice please!!! While I was munching on it, I wanted to eat it with hot steamy rice. Its like how my mom would do Lumpiang Shanghai. Everything was delicious. I gave them 4 stars because they didnt have the Philly and Hawaiian on the menu and the rolls are abit on the expensive side but Worth it! The people running the truck were also nice and gave me free churros! It was so nice of them to do that! Definitely coming back. :)

I hired Roll Revolution to cater our company event for 350 employees in Milpitas. Aaron, the owner, was absolutely incredible to work with, he was very responsive and quickly addressed all my questions. I kept in communications with RR that morning, they arrived early, which was totally appreciated… RR is a top notch vendor and professional, for those of you who coordinate large events and deal with unreliable vendors, you know how stressful that can be! RR also added a nice personal touch with a customized poster of our employee event with our company name, date and menu selections. We selected«The Hawaiian», «The Marguerita» and«The Chicken Pot Pie». The feedback was extremely positive, they liked the variety, and felt that the rolls were a good portion, very tasty overall. I was torn between The Hawaiian and The Marguerita, so I had both, they were so crisp and delicious, paired perfectly with the sauce… YUM! I was surprised that they weren’t greasy like your typical fried food fare, warning… these can be quite addicting. I’m looking forward to trying all the other ones too, like Bulgogi, classic lumpia and the banana jackfruit, I hear they do Fremont Street Eats on Friday nights. Roll Revolution, if you’re reading this… Please come to the Peninsula Sunnyvale-Santa Clara at «Off the Grid», we need your rolls in this area. We also had a several other food trucks for this event which were hit-and-miss but RR was definitely a favorite. I highly recommend Roll Revolution for quick eats and catering, excellent food and excellent customer service!

Absolutely delish! Saw them at the Fremont Street Eats tonight and was not disappointed. I got the Hawaiian roll and it was great, super nice lady took my order with a beautiful smile, great food served timely, what more could you ask for, oh yeah, very reasonably priced at $ 6.

Portion size is too small for the price. I ordered one order of the Philly Cheese steak rolls. What was included? Three smaller than take-out size eggrolls and a half ounce side of cheese for dipping. I also added frys for $ 2 extra and did not dip them in the cheese sauce because I wanted to save what little cheese there was for the Philly rolls. The half ounce container of cheese was only filled halfway and was not enough for dipping every bite of three rolls. I was really only able to have enough sauce for barely two rolls. I found myself taking bites of the rolls without cheese to make it last, but with my best efforts I still ran out and had to eat the third one dry. And no one likes dry rolls! Boo! That being said, I really like the flavor of the rolls with the sauce. I just think that $ 7 for three smaller than average eggrolls is way too much. The amount of frys they served for $ 2 was a much better value than the Philly rolls. And, if you wanted the frys just alone, that will be $ 4.

Roll Revolution is… revolutionary! Lumpia in different combinations and with a sauce. I had the chicken pot pie which came with gravy, but I just ate the lumpia by itself. Was very tasty and crispy. It had ground chicken filling with peas and I think carrots. I can’t remember what else was in it because I was too busy eating. They’re really friendly and the wait wasn’t too long. A new fav on my list!

Fun concept, yummy food and friendly staff! I tried 4 of the rolls today: bacon Mac n cheese, philly, Hawaiian and classic. All of them tasted good! I love the crisp wrapper and the rolls took about 6 minutes to make. Each type of roll comes with a sauce complement that fit with the theme. Bacon Mac n cheese: I wish this one came with a sauce that was something other than cheese. Maybe sriracha or even the jalapeño cheese they use for the philly. The bacon in this was good, but it was all a little too cheesy for me and I was craving some kick with this one. Philly: my favorite part of this was the jalapeño dipping cheese! It really tasted a little like a philly cheese steak! Hawaiian: this was really cute! Once you take a bite you find a little mini musubi greeting you from within! This one had a yummy katsu dipping sauce which I enjoyed. Classic: I inhaled this one. Simple and yummy no brainer. When in doubt, just keep it on the safe side and get this one! The sauce it comes with is a perfect match to keep things from getting too greasy~ I tried this when it was parked outside of the California Craft beer in Fremont on Friday night! Please come again! I want to try the dessert one next time~

All their rolls are so good! My favorites are the Philly and Bacon Mac & Cheese, and they taste even better with their sauces. Great fast and friendly service, but get there early because they tend to sell out of the popular items by the time they close. Follow them on Instagram and Twitter(@RollRevolution) to figure out where they’ll be next. They also do catering!

Roll Revolution is fusion cooking using lumpia as a wrapper for different food items: ground pork, spam, shredded chicken/beef, mozzarella cheese, banana jackfruit. locale: san lorenzo street eats(4⁄23) eats: the«classic»(3 pieces, 5) -«ground pork, carrots, & waterchestnut w/sweet & sour sauce» tasted mostly pork *home made sauce has chili pieces in it. a slight unexpected kick –banana jackfruit one may resemble a Filipino turon but less greasy. turon available in most filipino bakeries, $ 1ish, very greasy, tasty *ima’s kusina(sj) has fresh, nongreasy turon @.69 –fresh ingredients, freshly fried, got it in 5 minutes. 3.5 stars crumbs: –food for the adventurous –one order isn’t filling, just a sampling lumpias could be addictive –friendly service. –couple entrees not available not necessarily bad, small supply, keeping ingredients fresh… –fried lumpias not advisable for stroke, high blood pressure patrons.

Excellent customer service from first contact to the day of the party and even after! We hired Roll Revolution to cater our baby shower and it was a hit with every single guest. We ordered the spam musubi egg rolls, the classic and the banana and jackfruit egg rolls. The spam musubi one has a special marinade and also has furikake in it and it was one of the first to run out. The classic one had plenty of meat and was not a disappointment because i know some places skimp on the meat and mostly pack the roll with veggies instead. The banana and jackfruit roll was a twist on the classic turon but better, not as sweet as the turon which i liked, bonus part about it is it comes with a nutella jackfruit dipping sauce! This is a family run business and his rolls are revolutionary! He has a lot of ideas for some new rolls and i cant wait to see what else he comes out with.

Today was the soft opening for a new food truck, Roll Revolution, at the Best Buy parking lot. The concept of the food here are egg rolls infused with different food dishes. I went with my cousins to check it out. Since it was a soft opening, the wait time for orders were estimated around the forty minute mark. A long wait time was expected, but not that troublesome. Even though the wait time was long, there was a large turnout that actually had items selling out within a couple hours. Due to the season of Lent, I had the Banana and Jackfruit roll, which is vegetarian friendly. I had given up on pork and beef products through the Lenten season. There was Nutella dipping sauce that was included with the order. Just like how the title describes the menu item, it was all that in a deep fried egg roll. It’s based on a popular Filipino dessert called turon. This roll was petite and delicious. It was crispy on the outside with banana and jackfruit bursting inside. The Nutella dip gave the roll a nice chocolate flavoring, which didn’t taste weird at all! My cousin did order some other rolls, which I will try after Lenten season is over. He ordered the following: The Hawaiian: made with spam, Japanese rice, and katsu sauce. The Philly: made with jalapeño cheese sauce, red & green bell peppers, and your choice of shredded chicken or sautéed beef. The Classic: made with ground pork, carrots, and water chestnuts, served with sweet and sour sauce. This also known as another popular Filipino dish, the lumpia! There are a few things to work out, but expect great things to come out from Roll Revolution! Great job on the soft opening.
