Horrible service! Was rushed and they even moved on to the next car before they were even done with mine! What a waste!

This place is HORRIBLE!!! VERY HALF ASS! Paid for deluxe, barely cleaned the inside, outside was super dirty! This place is the worst! The guy just rushed everyone to move on to the next car before mine was done!

Been coming here for over 10 years. Great service, great price, friendly attendants. Get here early, the line gets long fast!

Wonderful job. Had the whole car detailed and it came out like new. Very professional and good price.

$ 103 for a tire valve change. I could have bought a new tyre with that amount. Had no options and this guy took advantage of it. Avoid this place at all cost. I had few more repairs to be done on my car but I took it out after this incident. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Radiator was fully leaking on my Audi A4. Anyone that has an Audi knows the pain involved to get repaired at a decent price/​honestly outside of the dealer. I found Luis and his shop from Unilocal reviews and I can assure, this guy is great. Got the job done quickly, with no hassle or other issues with the car. Often you go to fix 1 thing and a garage «finds» all these other issues they want to charge you for. Not here, they fixed what was needed and I was on my way. A+ hopefully won’t be back, but if I have any further problems ahead, I would definitely go back.

I can’t tell you how happy I am with the service I received at Martin Auto repair, my car was over heating and kept stopping, I had to have my car towed there on a saturday morning, and before 5pm that same day Luis called to tell me it was fixed he said it was just a matter of the thermostat and replacing some fluids he even changed one of my windshield wipers I was thrilled!!! Oh and you get a free car wash. I was expecting to pay ALOT more than I did as I had been getting quotes from other shops. Martin Auto definitely has a brand new faithful customer in me :)

What a relief. Car problems are the worst since the biggest fear is not knowing what the hell is wrong and that someone will take advantage of you. I called Martin’s up because of the great reviews here, talked to Luis and described the problem (needed a new alternator and belt). He quoted the job in 5 minutes, and when I brought it in, the total bill came in $ 25 under his quote. He really put me at ease. He was always in touch and explained everything I asked.
I’m so happy w/​this place and will go back! (hopefully I don’t need to!!)
Plus they give you a free car wash w/​all repairs. Nice touch!

Came here for an oil change and to find out why the car was making noise. They were upfront about what was wrong w the car and the cost to fix it. Definitely recommend! Free car wash w an oil change. When we came back to pick up the car, cost even less than what he estimated. Score!

Went to this place after looking for a good auto-​repair shop on Unilocal,and I was not disappointed.
My car overheated on my way from work one day. I managed to drive the 30 miles home after pulling over and shutting down the engine for a few minutes. I called a few places (Epic Auto Care in JC, which is pretty good (already took my car there), and Pep Boys in JC, which is pretty bad but both were busy that night).
I decided to try Martin’s the following morning — It’s 10 blocks from my home and the previous reviews were good.
I got there at 7:30am — They open at 8am. Luis showed up right on time, took a look at my coolant level, and told me it was almost empty. In a way that was a relief since it meant that the fix would be quick and affordable (Could have been the water pump or something else more involved in terms of $$). In another way it was bad because I would have expected my 2008 BMW to tell me when running low.
Luis mentioned that BMWs do not take regular coolant and I could confirm that via a quick google search on my phone.
Long story short, while Martin’s does not have much in stock, Luis found a bottle of BMW coolant on some shelve in the shop. He charged me $ 15 and I was on my way.
Luis is a genuine honest guys and while the shop probably doesn’t have all the latest equipment, I will definitely take my car there for minor maintenance like oil changes. For more involved work, I’d take it to Epic Auto Care in JC.

No hidden fees. Told me what it would cost & that is what my brakes cost. Just hade to wait 30 minutes longer to get a part. Once again ask for Luis. I had never had to go to a auto repair shop in this area before. Found this one on Unilocal.Kind of close to where I live. Maybe 15 minutes away. Reviews were ok & gave it a shot. Never know what you are getting into at a auto repair shop.(Gotta have a guy).Would use this place again, if something pops up again. Just gave it 3stars because it was an ok experience.

Walking to my parked car I found that someone side-​swiped my mirror & knocked it off. Infuriated, because I was on my way to an appt but did not feel safe to drive on the highway. My regular shop was closed & besides too far to drive.
So I resorted to Unilocal & found Martin’s Auto Center. It was local, but being a female & not wanting to get ripped off, I was encouraged by a previous female review & her good experience with Luis, the service manager. She was spot on, Luis was a gentleman, helped me save $$ as he was able to put the mirror back on in 20 mins. He could have given me the run around & have me order a new mirror, but he was so helpful by trying first to repair. Definitely worth the trip & he now has a new customer! :-)

Martin’s is the best. This is actually an auto-​repair shop, a gas station (Exxon), and a hand-​car wash. Not only are they are reliable, you can trust that they won’t overcharge you. They also work pretty fast and are very kind and knowledgeable.
If you have to leave your car with them, they will call you within an hour and tell you exactly what needs to be done. They will only charge you for a service if you agree to it. Their goal is to do only what absolutely needs to be done – not pile on a bunch of unnecessary repairs to make your bill higher.
I’ve already had two different cars serviced by them and both have came out better than before each time. In addition, Luis (the manager) threw in a free car wash with each repair.
ANYTIME I need to bring my car in for service or get a nice car wash, I will go to Martin’s.

Imagine this: you’re on the Manhattan parkway, away from home, and you suddenly suspect your brakes have gone out. This happened to me last month, and I pulled off on the first exit: Union City, NJ. A call to AAA led me to Martin’s where they confirmed my concern: my brake fluid line was split. I had no brakes.
I’m a single woman, I know nothing about cars, so I assumed when I rolled into an auto repair at 7:30 in the morning, out of town, I was going to get completely hosed. Wouldn’t have been a shock for them to try and sell me new brakes, brake pads, etc.
But instead, I knew immediately I’d found the right place. Luis, the service manager, immediately put my car up and within 10 minutes brought me over to show me the line. He gave me an estimate quickly ($ 80 including labor) and helped me get a cab to where I was going. he called to follow up, and I was so impressed, I asked him to throw in an oil change for my drive home.
When I arrived, Luis and the owner were there, and showed me the work they’d done and went over the concerns about the car. Amongst them, the windshield wipers I’d had installed were the wrong size and were ruining the window casing. For cost, they replaced them ($ 16). They gave me extensively detailed directions for how to get back to the freeway in rush hour (their hidden route) and then gave me a free car wash and detail, which is standard with any service there.
I was petrified I was going to end up stuck with an expensive bill, outrageous service claims or a problem that couldn’t be fixed quickly. Instead, Luis and the staff at Martin’s went over and above in kind, fair service and I would go out of my way to use them again. (you know, if I’m ever in Union City).
