My first choice, the turkey fricassee, was sold out, so I got a pork item. I didn’t catch the name but it was somewhat like pot roast. I found it plain-ish, but the accompanying beans were good and numerous. Much better was the shrimp ceviche, zingy enough that I took a swig of the liquid when the crustaceans were gone. The maracuya shake was excellent. The assortment of varying-by-day entrees on the menu looked promising, with lots of $ 6-$ 7 entrees(more for seafood) so I hope to return and add at 5th star.

Here’s why I give it a good rating, its cheap. The owner is usually there and is very nice, will greet you and say bye. The food is ok, the seafood is pretty good. I usually order the large ceviche and rice for 10bucks not bad and pretty good.

Not worth the price, you can get awasome Cuban food like right across the street. Will not be back. The food was very oily, and tasted old. My breaded steak was paper thin tough and overfried, tasted like just breadcrumbs. The beans tasted like they came from a can, and the rice was stale. Not even gonna mention the heartburn and repeating food I had for hours after this meal. Now worth the $ 12 price.

This owner had the same establishment elsewhere and moved it over here. Food’s still good. The owner is a very welcoming person. We’ve been eating at his establishment for decades now and he always remembers us and always has a huge warm welcoming greeting for us every time we step in through the door. We haven’t gone in a long time and he noticed when we walked in and recognized us immediately. He also takes pride in his establishment and helps w/the orders and talks to his customers. You will never go hungry here and you’ll leave w/extra money in your wallet. Some of my favs include the oxtail stew(rabo encendido), pot roast(boliche), and their chicken soup. Cuban chicken soup isn’t like typical american soup, its heartier and more flavorful. Today I tried their churrasco, a skirt steak served on a sizzling platter w/chimichurri sauce. a mix of fresh herbs and olive oil. I’d recommend ordering the large instead of small if you got an appetite on you. Comes w/either a salad or rice n beans. The amount of rice served for each dish is insane! Almost every dish is under $ 10. My steak with rice n beans was only $ 9! All orders come w/warm buttery cuban bread, yum. I ordered a lemonade for $ 1.50. My mom warned me it was big. they literally serve their lemonade in those take out plastic containers for soup! it’s insanely big and very fresh and tasty too! Note: I believe they only take cash.
