Never would use this company again! The girl taking appointments was kind and fairly efficient but the 2 movers I hired were AWFUL! They arrive one hour earlier than scheduled, never introduced themselves to me, barely said One word throughout the ENTIRE move, pretended they didn’t understand English (or if they didn’t understand English they should bring one crew who Does!!!), almost positive they didn’t deliver a suitcase full of my winter sweaters that i know was put on their truck (i discovered those sweaters missing later on the next month because it takes awhile to unpack everything)!!! And on top of all that l gave em a twenty dollar tip (which I now regret) and they never thanked me for it! Never use these people. They sound good when making the arrangements… but that was a «front» a deceit! Don’t trust them!

My move is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9 am.
I was JUST called (at 1:50 pm) and told that they can’t come because the truck needs to be «looked at».
Although she was nice on the phone, it didn’t help resolve the problem.
Luckily, I found another 4 star rated company and for less $!!!

The rates are attractive, but that is it. I hired three movers for 85/​hr. Only one of them knew anything about moving, and was efficient. The other two were slow and inefficient.
Unfortunately, the one who knew stuff fell sick during the move, and then things went downhill from there. Other two were miserably slow.
Cutting the long story short, a one bedroom apartment move took 6.5 hours. I had no option but to pay for the services, but I wouldn’t hire them ever again.

Took three movers at 80 $ per hour. Was told I need to pay toward gas as the distance is beyond 30 miles. Fine with me!
Got a call from them two days before confirming the appointment. So far so good.
To their credit, they were surprisingly on time at 8:00 AM. Wonderful.
Two movers were very efficient. But the third one looks like a newbie and did little. No complaints though as total time they took was just an hour to move a two bedroom apartment. And soon they are ready to roll. Great!
They covered 25 mile ride from Sunnyvale to Pleasanton within thirty minutes. Another plus!
Putting stuff back to new apartment was also oayish — I wont say it was quick but they worked hard.
One star off because I probably could have get it done with two movers with less money.

I just have to say how scared I was hiring a mover after some bad experiences. With a tight budget, we decided to go ahead and take a chance with BMJ moving. The price was right, they were very prompt in getting back to us with an easy quote. Nothing to fill out or count, just a flat hourly fee depending on how many guys you want to help you. I called the two days before to confirm the movers and they responded right away. The movers showed up 5 minutes early and worked all day. They were so fast, they packed up our house and drove one hour and unloaded. We were very impressed, Kevin was the lead and Amy was at the office.
We saved on moving fees and got a great result. As long as you are packed already and prepared, you can’t go wrong!
