History

Established in 2004.

Ascend which was incorporated in 2004 prides in providing exceptional therapist to schools, clinics and home based for kids of all ages from 0 – 16 years of age. After relocating from Chicago, Ascend started small with the founder working with special needs children out of her home in San Ramon and opening her doors to any and all families that not only needed intervention but also support. It takes a ‘village’ to raise a child and she embodied that concept. Once the requests escalated, Ascend began with OT’s and IDS’s for home based services via Regional Center and then later used ST’s to provide with a multi disciplinary approach.

Currently the amazing office staff, along with the founder, her family and the therapists make the company where it is at.

Business Owner

Swati Shah is an Occupational Therapist since 1997, founder/​director of Ascend and a mother of 2 energetic children. She believes that everyday holds the possibility of a miracle and works passionately to provide children and their families with excpetional intervention be it OT, IDS or ST. She manages the administrative office in San Ramon and the clinic in Dublin and additionally the 23 therapist that make our amazing Ascend Family.
