We are an online website that promotes planned events, sells products, advocates, educates, and raises awareness with the public about a variety of causes. This website is also able to share available resources to a variety of causes as well.

History

Established in 2006.

We got started slowly with the owners desire to share her personal stories, help people that are in similar situations, and prevent other people from getting into situations that are similar to hers. We are still in the infant stage, but what we are finding is that, more and more people in similar situations want to know they are not alone and are greatful for the support, education, and, community they feel they have when they come the site and share their story or just read for information. The longer we do this, the more satisfying it it is. The more people we help, and the more people help us.

On November 23,2010 at 8:30 pm I was on my way back to the local high school to pick up my 3 boys who were at wrestling practice, from there we were going to pick up my daughter, who was at a friends house near the school, and then go home. We were getting ready for the Thanksgiving holiday. That all changed, when I was almost back to the school, my car was at a complete stop, and I was struck from behind by a drunk driver. Our whole world would never be the same. The driver was a 62 yr. old bartender, who had just gotten off work and was on her way home. She fled the scene, my car was thrown into oncoming traffic, hit again, thrown back into my lane, hit again, and then I was thrown out of the car. I suffered a major head injury, other life threatening injuries. I died twice in helicoptor on the way to shock trauma and was in a coma for a month, and a total of 3 hospitals in 4 months before I could finally come home. The small idea of this website started in 2006, and then I had the accident in 2010.
