I moved to Hazlet about a year ago from Edison. My good friend Mitch owns a shop«the bearded barber» in scotch plains so he was always my guy –However commuting back and forth from Hazlet to Scotch Plains wasn’t cutting it anymore. As sad as I was it was time to find a new shop. During the year or so down here I tried other places but a lot wasn’t what I was looking for. I decided this past weekend to give MVP a shot. Not knowing who to wait for or get a cut from the first guy that was open I went with him. Now I don’t recall his name(on his card he gave me) but he was cracking jokes and having a good time. Which is everything you want. He cut my hair just how I wanted and took care of my beard. As far as a shop goes I personally prefer more of that old time fashion shop that embarrasses the grooming and gentleman side of things vs the«urban hip hop type» which you find is a majority of shops these days. However, it didn’t bother cause I found a shop close by with GREATPRICES&BARBERS!

Found this Place a year ago. New business in town and within walking distance from my house. Its a young crowd. Hip Hop and R&B always on the radio. Mens haircut $ 15.00. Can’t beat that. They take their time and make it a personal experience for every customer!
