History

Established in 1994.

When she founded N2SHAPE in 1994, Ellen Yates never imagined that the company would become her life’s purpose. Fitness is Ellen’s passion, and she’s created a business that lets her teach people to embrace healthy lifestyles and have fun doing it.

Ellen and the great team of trainers and specialty instructors she’s assembled have helped hundreds of people lose weight, achieve fitness goals, recover from injuries, and improve their health. N2SHAPE brings workouts that work to fitness clubs, homes, community centers, and businesses in northern Virginia, Tyson’s Corner, McLean, Vienna, and the rest of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

In addition to giving instruction in strength training and cardiovascular fitness, our certified professional trainers provide nutrition coaching, corporate wellness programs, Pilates and yoga classes, group instruction, injury rehabilitation, active aging programs for Boomers, and senior fitness for older adults and retirees.
