He comes from a family of doctors and pharmacists, but also enjoys working with his hands… So he completed his undergraduate degree in engineering at Virginia Tech before enrolling in dental school. This combination of skills has allowed him to become a better dentist. He has been serving patients in Northern Virginia, Maryland and the DC area for over 20 years.
Dr. Kris Popli is a «Gadget Geek» and always stays on top of new technologies. In 2003, Dr. Popli became the first dentist in the Tysons area to utilize the Waterlase dental laser. The dental laser was demonstrated live from his office on Washington’s CBS Channel 9 News. He quickly became known as the «Laser Dentist» by adults and children who have experienced its benefits: no shots, no drills, no numbness! He also uses a laser for accurately detecting cavities and in office teeth whitening.

Dr. Kris Popli has been serving the Northern Virginia area for over 20 years. He was the first dentist in Northern Virginia to utilize the Waterlase dental laser to perform painless dental procedures without the use of shots and drills. He was featured live on WUSA-9, demonstrating the use of the laser on an actual patient. His practice philosophy is to know each patient and provide individualized recommendations one patient at a time.
