Crabtree Falls Campground

We stayed at Crabtree Falls Campground in November 2014. I saw there were mixed reviews but decided to take a chance as it is the only tent camping open this time of year in the falls area. I must say I was so pleasantly surprised. The sites were well marked, a bit close together but that did not matter as much considering there were not many tent campers this late in the season. I stayed on site T3 and the sound of the river rushing by was just wonderful. The bathroom facilities were better than expected. The mens was immaculate as it was just renovated. The womens was decent, and is set to be renovated in the near future which is a huge plus! They have laundry, wash sink, wood and potable water onsite as well. The store is well stocked with any essentials you may have forgotten. The owner Dave was warm and friendly, and had many fun stories to share. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him. He gave us suggestions about where to visit, tips about climbing the falls safely, and many other fun facts about the area. We are hooked and will be back in the spring! Thank you Dave for making our stay so wonderful!
