Habitat for Humanity ReStore

Prices are sky high. I believe in what ReStore is doing, but this outlet is unrealistic. Many items are priced at or over retail… And they are selling used product. (You will do better at Wal-​Mart or Home Depot.)
In their previous location (Billerica) they tended to have good prices, but after the move everything changed. While I was in the store today not a single customer made a purchase. Everyone looked at the prices and left. I watched more than a dozen people walk out empty handed. (Conversely, in the Worcester ReStore there is a constant stream of customers getting great bargains.
I spoke to the person at the desk about the new prices and she referred me to a gentlemen who was on the floor arranging product. I spoke to him for a few minutes and he said he was willing to «make a deal» but felt that the pricing strategy was sound. He also indicated that had no control because he worked for a woman who set the prices very high and nodded to the woman at the desk who originally sent me to him. Huh?
So, I won’t be coming back to the Greater Lowell ReStore any time soon. But as I mentioned, I believe in the overall mission and I will continue to visit the other outlets where I have purchased some great appliances, fixtures, building materials, and equipment.

Prices as high as new in some cases and others still absurdly high.
Selection mediocre at best and poorly organized at that.
The service seems to be more interested in complaining among themselves who did or did not do what rather than help customers.
Honestly I’ve been to hundreds of thrift stores of every type shape and price points, this one rates among one of the worst. Nothing to see here save your time and skip this one.
