Got the General Tso’s chicken and pork egg roll. Tasted great and got a ton of food for only $ 9. Exactly what you’re looking for from a food truck.

I don’t like to be so harsh in reviews, but my sesame honey chicken was gross. I was really hungry, so I choked down about half of it, but just couldn’t continue. It’s not that it necessarily tasted bad(though it was not particularly good), but that the chicken had the consistency of rubber. Not hard to chew but spongy. With my first bite, I thought perhaps I had just grabbed a particularly fatty piece, but that was not the case. I have eaten a lot of sesame chicken(and chicken in general for that matter) but I have never experienced chicken with this consistency(shudder). Furthermore, the breading was mushy and merely sprinkled with sesame seeds. The rice was rice, and the pork egg roll was no better than the microwave dinner variety. Frankly, for just under 10 bucks, I feel absolutely ripped off, and just a touch nauseous.

I went to the Yumm Bai food truck today and it was a nightmare. I ordered a vegetable egg roll and vegetable lo mein. I waited 30 minutes for my order to be ready. The trucks seemed very disorganized. Not only did I wait forever but when I got back to my apartment and opened my food it was the wrong order. They gave me general tso’s chicken and rice in a box labeled vegetable lo mein. The food was not impressive either. Ultimately, 30 minutes in the freezing cold for the wrong order and sub par food was not worth it. There are so many great food trucks in Boston, skip this one.

**Experienced at Quincy Food Truck Fest 9/26/2015** I was a huge fan of the Pork Egg Roll. The taste was so pleasantly fresh and full of flavors. The outside of the roll was crispy and over all delightful. I am a huge fan of a decent egg roll and loved this. I kind of wish they made some sort of home made sauce to go with the egg roll instead of packaged sweet and sour sauce, but over all I was very happy with my choice to try Yumm Bai!

Just OK. It’s a food truck so I’ll go to what’s important: Taste/Quality: The pork egg roll is very good, but it’s not supposed to be the star of the plate, which it certainly was. The Honey Sesame Chicken entrée was sub par. While the breaded chicken was very well done– breaded very lightly and having a nice crisp– the«honey sesame sauce» just brought the whole thing down a notch for me. I wouldn’t recommend it, unless you like really overly sweet-tasting entrees. Price/Portion: $ 9 will get you a combo plate which includes an entrée and a very, very lonely egg roll(veggie or pork). At the end of the meal, I certainly didn’t think it was worth it; not exactly highway robbery though. We are talking very plain white rice, breaded chicken and a deep fried egg roll for $ 9– and this plate did little to fill me up(see the picture). I mean, they could at least dress the plate with some vegetables to make it a better overall value. This is certainly not a ‘bang-for-your-buck’ truck, and neither is it a gourmet option where you expect to pay for a bit higher quality. Recommendation: If going for just the egg rolls($ 4 for 2 pork), you will not be disappointed. If you’re looking for a full meal though, I recommend you look elsewhere. Your $ 9 might be better spent…
