West, O.D. is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist. At West Vision, we excel in providing our patients with personalized care, and as a result, most of our patients are here due to «word of mouth» referrals from family and friends. We want West Vision to serve as your family’s eye care practice for life. We will work to earn that trust through excellent customer care, investment in new technology, continuing medical education for doctors and staff, a huge inventory of optical and contact lenses, and exclusive eyeglass frames.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Dr. Jacob C. West is a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist in Tyler, Texas. Dr West is certified to treat and manage medical eye conditions prescribe glasses and contacts. He also co-​manages lasik and cataract surgeries. He attended Texas State University in San Marcos receiving a degree in biology. He then enrolled in the four year doctorate program at the University of Houston College of Optometry. He completed rotations at Northeastern College of Optometry in Oklahoma, providing eye care for the Cherokee Nation Tribe members. Dr. West also interned at the University of Houston Mobile Eye Institute bus which benefited troubled teens throughout the Houston area by providing comprehensive eye exams.

In 2014, he opened West Vision in Tyler, TX. West Vision has state of the art technology to diagnose and treat eye conditions. The Tyler Clinic offers a very spacious optical featuring exclusive designer frames and sunglasses. Dr. West is an active member of the American Optome
