Very small servings for the price. We came from Dallas and have had wonderful VN food. This food certainly does not compare to good VN food. Sad that we don’t have more than one location. Those that like this haven’t had the good stuff. I can cook this better at home with a VN cup of soup. We won’t be back.

So good. Chicken phở is my favorite. They aren’t very nice but the food is good. The Vietnamese spring rolls are good.

Business hours don’t mean a thing to these people. Thursday lunch and they’re closed.

The food was fantastic, but a bit pricey considering the smaller portion sizes. I’m not a big fan of the service, but I will make do; overall we enjoyed our dinner.

The portions are so small and the plates are too expensive for what you get. You are better off making your own phở or driving to dallas for the real stuff.

Atmosphere– not bad, but not date-night material; standard strip mall type location. Appetizer– Shrimp spring rolls: a bit too much mint, but otherwise tasty. Meal– Phở, Spicy beef w/noodles, Shrimp w/lemongrass: all were good, but nothing amazing. Service– the server was kind, but not really attentive. Overall we will return; if for no other reason than to support the anemic ethnic food selection in Tyler! I’ll update this review upon my next visit.

We stopped in on our way to Quitman to visit family. We wanted something a bit more healthy. Vietnamese is our usual go-to for that need. Since this is the only Vietnamese place that showed up in Unilocal in Tyler, we figured we would try it, especially seeing the 4 star rating. The gentleman behind the counter couldn’t be bothered to get up and take our order. My husband had to walk up to the counter and tell him that we were ready to order before he came to our table. We tried to order the chicken spring rolls, but were told they were out. We ordered the beef spring rolls instead, at the suggestion of the server. Then we both ordered the lemongrass vermicelli… with chicken… and weren’t told that they were out. This tells me that they make the spring rolls ahead of time and couldn’t be bothered to make extra chicken ones fresh for an order. Afterall, they apparently had enough chicken for our main dishes. Either that or they were trying to pawn off their beef supply before it went bad. The beef spring rolls came out and were tiny. No big deal, we both thought. We didn’t have high expectations for a Vietnamese restaurant in Tyler anyways. Once our entrees made it to the table, we were extremely dissapointed. For $ 10 each, we had a bowl of vermicelli that was half full, at best. The noodles were mush, meaning they had been left in the water for too long. They were also warm. I couldn’t tell if they had actually put them in warm water to soften them up quicker or if they were warm from the hot lemongrass chicken that had been placed on top. The flavor of the dish was fine. So, I guess there’s that. Needless to say, if this is what the people of Tyler think of when they think of Vietnamese food, it’s no wonder they only support one restaurant, for now.

I was DELIGHTED to see a Phở place when I moved back to Tyler! Good broth and good meats make good Phở and they have both! I prefer a bigger veggie section on the adds, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker. If they ever open a more central /south Tyler location I’ll be a regular as the location is not convenient to me now

I had the spring rolls and the«special soup» phở, which comes with flank steak, beef brisket, and meatballs. I also had the jasmine iced tea. Everything was amazing! The spring rolls are pretty minty but still very good. The phở was delicious but like someone else said, the meat portions are pretty small. Which I don’t mind at all because it kept the whole bowl on the lighter side. I ate about half of the phở and was able to save the rest for another lunch. I’ll definitely go back again, and absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to get their phở on!

This place is sooooo good! Fresh herbs. Tasty pork and egg rolls. I recommend the number 7. This is a two person operation, so service is a little slow at times(not bad slow), but it is well worth the wait!

Best phở in Tyler! Even though there really isn’t much to choose from. I’ve been to San Antonio and eaten phở there at several spots and this is much better than both. The egg rolls could be pre made instead of frozen and deep fried. Prices are cheap and service is fair

The best phở in Tyler! Great flavors and affordable prices. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is the service. The lady(assuming is one of the owners) is too rude. I am not joking, try too make a change in your order and you will see what I am talking about it, however the food is so good that I try to be there al least twice a month.

Yummy phở. Actually the only phở place in town which is unfortunate. I’ve only eaten here once and it was very good. The only issue I have is the way the place seems to me is never open? 1st time my husband and I went they were closed because of a family emergency on the front door it said. Which fine that is understanding, no big deal. We live out in the country we’ll come back next time. 2nd time was actually on a Thursday around 4:45.Was in town wanted to go have some phở. Drove there saw the open sign on and went to open the door and it was locked. Checked the sign hours, that said they were open. Their phở is awesome, the service is good, the only issue I have is the confusion of when they are ever really open?! That gets frustrating as a hungry person wanting phở and not ever knowing if the place is gonna be open.

As a big fan of Phở let me first tell you my «Phở Credentials» I live in Long Beach, California which is 10 minutes north of the biggest«Little Saigon» in the U.S. I’ve had Phở at the best most authentic places in this country, also have had Phở from my ex girlfriend(Vietnamese) mother(who moved here as an adult from Saigon). I was craving Phở so I went here while I’m in town for a week. The flavor was great, some of the best I’ve ever had. The portion was small, probably smaller than regular size in Los Angeles /Orange County and priced the same as a large back in LA/OC. The bean sprouts were not fresh, they didn’t have chili peppers, and they used chopped red onions instead of the traditional green onion. Very little meat was in the soup, and they didnt have tendon or tripe on the menu. Also no size selections. To summarize, the flavor was great and that is the reason for my 3 stars. If you’re not used to authentic phở, then you’ll be happy here.

Well, I think I’m a fan… I’ve never, ever had Vietnamese food, so I have nothing to compare it to. I ran in here on a whim and wasn’t disappointed. I had no idea what I was ordering, I had a general idea of what the spring rolls were. I ordered the pork and shrimp spring rolls, hated them, I do not like mint all that much and they were full of it, which is fine, I was experimenting, I expect that sort of thing. If I had planned the visit, I would’ve done my research on what is common with this particular cuisine, and probably would’ve avoided the spring rolls. The other dish I ordered was the grilled shrimp over vermicelli, which was DELICIOUS!!! It had mint in it, but not so much that it was overpowering… I also enjoyed the lemongrass flavor… it’s very light food and I can’t wait to go back and try something else now that I’ve familiarized myself with it’s menu.

Excellent! The phở was amazing, they didn’t have a problem changing the protein to tofu. The owners are warm, welcoming and very nice people. This place is a real gem in the Piney Woods.

Smallest portions, they’re like kids meal. Most horrible fried rice. And the service: good lord! These people do not know how to smile. It’s like their face would crack if they did. No wonder it was empty on a Saturday afternoon… Get on line and google some recipes, not worth it!

Best phở in town!!! Ok, the only phở in town that I know of and I’m glad it is here. Phở is one of my favorite hangover cures. I never really thought about getting phở just because I had a hangover but for some reason I just crave it the morning after a long night of drinking. As others have pointed out already not the best atmosphere in the restaurant, but I was much more interested in the phở that what the restaurant looked like. The service was fine as I really just wanted to be left alone with my phở. So of course I had the phở with flank steak and a Vietnamese coffee. When I first tasted the phở I thought it had too much clove in it, but after adding my usually amount of sriracha, which is always a lot, the clove really was just right. I’m happy with Vietnamese Phở Restaurant as my hangover is gone now. :)

Phở! Phở! Phở! In the nature of full disclosure, I don’t know Squat about Vietnamese food. But I dig this place. I don’t know what a single thing on the menu is. Thankfully, they have pictures of several menu items on the walls. I never know what I have ordered till it shows up. So far, I’ve never been disappointed.
