I usually get their pork fried rice and it is cooked fresh. They use char siu(roast pork) and it is pretty flavorful. Quantity is large and fairly decent priced. Would recommend. Plus, drive through is convenient.

Mings Café is Best in Tyler.(I’ve been to the other tasteless cold food buffets in Tyler) Mings has a great price, great friendly service from owners and staff, hit fresh food. They are a weekly stop when I am in Tyler Texas!

Ming’s Is one of the Top 3 overall Chinese restaurants in Tyler. The food is always fresh and hot, as far as the atmosphere this is not a sit down type restaurant this is fresh hot take out. If You want a more upscale atmosphere there is Julians down the road, or Liangs(Same owners as mings) and you will pay alot more for food of the same quality. This is high quality fresh Chinese food at a great price. It doesnt get any better take out Chinese than this. My only negative comment is they don’t deliver, course this is Tyler no Chinese place delivers

Food was really good! Had a lot leftovers. One thing I didn’t like was when a little boy(who’s mom works there) looked to be elementary age came in after school he was sent to the dining room unsupervised. He began to move around the dining room then spat on the floor. Ugh! Not sure if I’ll be back. Loved the food but that really made me sick. If he’s doing that what else is he doing?

The food was good and the service was fast. Had the Hot and Sour Soup and House Special Fried rice, it was all very good and hot. My niece had Egg Drop soup and the Lo mein noodles. She liked it and she’s 7. Very picky eater with autism. My only complaint is there was the owner letting their son picking fights with my niece. And she didn’t understand why. No one would do anything about it. Child left unsupervised in dining room. Employees are no babysitters. I left quickly. I won’t be back because of this not food quality.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Tyler, and definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant. The service is always friendly, the portions are huge, and the prices are terrific I tried the jalapeño won tons yesterday and they were delicious and certainly something unique to a Chinese restaurant in Texas! They have a drive through, which is convenient, though I usually prefer to park and go in for carry out.

Egg drop soup was pretty good, and the jalapeño wontons are excellent. Curry fried rice entrée was acceptable, but not otherwise noteworthy. I stopped in for a carry-out order, service was fast and friendly, portions fair, and prices are reasonable and inexpensive. All in all, not a bad place. Ambiance isn’t fantastic– but I didn’t care since it was takeout. I’ll probably pick up more soup and wontons at this place while I’m in town.

Great food! I had a really unpleasant experience with one of the employees there once which almost ruined it for me. I have gone back since then and the service has been amazing to say the least!

I love Ming’s! I have been multiple times and the amount of you you get is ridiculous, but I always end up getting two meals out of it. Every time I have been the employees have been friendly and knowledgable. The food has always tasted hot and fresh. Can’t get enough of this place.

There are very few Chinese places that I have disliked. This is now one of them. When I first walked in, there was nothing that caught my eye, other than the servers(they were very young and a little on the trendy side). They were polite and very nice. When I looked on the menu, there were quite a few choices. I’m not the very adventurous type so I got something that I knew I would like, chicken lo mein. When my plate did come I got a little excited. Their portions were enormous! But then the smell hit me. The odor was that of a frozen dinner I would have cooked in the microwave. I tried to push that aside as I took a bite of a piece of chicken. It had no flavor whatsoever. Well, it had distinct frozen-chicken-from-the-microwave flavor. I then tried the noodles which were a tad bit better, but not much. I added some sriracha which helped a little, but, again, not very much. I dont know whst alk the hype was about. My dish just didn’t taste very good at all. Don’t mean to be repetitive, but it just reminded me of something that came out of a microwave. Last time I’ll be visiting here.

I must say the service was spot on. Very helpful and rather patient workers. I came in hungry and with a goal of being filled up with something very tasty. I was not disappointed! This little local Chinese spot gave me a filling of satisfaction. I was greeted by a little Asian child who opened the door for me. First impressions are always great to have. You can tell this is a family and friend establishment. It felt very inviting when you walked in. I didnt know what i wanted as always when I go to a restaurant. I simply go in with no expectations, I go in with only one goal and thats the desire to eat. I was greeted by a staff of what looked like guys from a tattoo shop and a cool chick. Its not what you expect to see when entering a Chinese restaurant. They were rather very cool. I explained how hungry i was and what I was somewhat craving. The clerk suggested a few things that I should try. I simply left it in his hands and trusted his judgement seeing he knew the food well enough to give me a break down as to what all was in it. I had an order of sesame chicken, lo mien noodles, fried calamari, and spicy shrimp and chicken. The kicker was not only in the taste but the price… all that food for no more than $ 10 To me thats a GREAT deal! Great food and for a cheap price.

Good food. Very friendly employees. Great Prices. But the portion size was too big. Being part of the clean plate club is my down fall. I had a Thai salad, I did not care for the pineapple on it but it was served with two dressings, the house dressing I preferred the other was a thin sweet dressing. I also had the special, which was spicy chicken(I think) I ordered it without rice. I should have take half to go. It was huge. So to summarize the place was much better than expected.

4 stars for value. Dealing with a raging hangover from last night’s New Year’s Eve festivities, I knew some greasy Chinese food would do the trick. Since I looked like a homeless bum, I opted for the drive-thru, which is a great option. I ordered a Kung Pao beef /chicken combo, sans veggies. My God, did they ever load up the to go box! The amount of food they gave me could’ve fed an army of those little ethiopians with the flies all over their faces. Quick to go service, friendly employees, cheap prices, and a heaping amount of food. Hangover no mas! I’ll return when I need some quick Chinese.

Ok, it’s a dive but it’s a nice dive. Food is pretty good. It’s clean and the staff, they make the difference. We’ve been here a few times and have never double guessed the decision. The soups are the best I’ve had in 20 years. Stopping here is hardly ever a bad thing.
