After driving 3 hours from Houston to Tyler for a Gem and Mineral Show at the Rose Garden Convention center. My sister and I didn’t realize we needed a hotel to stay the night(we exactly didn’t plan well). After driving 30 minutes on Hwy 69/Broadway Ave trying to look for a hotel – we couldn’t find one that was affordable for one night. So, we remembered we passed an Inn near the Convention center. I called this place and a nice lady answered. I asked if she had any availability for a short coming night and she replied with a yes. She even gave me directions to get there from the Walmart. As we got there – the parking lot was kinda packed. The front staff was two ladies. On the outside there’s a window with a bell. As you walk into the breakfast/front desk the room is really elegant looking on the back wall to the side are waffle makers, orange juice machine, and coffee pots. A nice area for seating. The front staff didn’t give my sister and I attitude, they were friendly. Though, the older lady was a bit clueless on how to fix things in the office. My sister and I was patiently waiting as she tried to repair the printer and the credit card machine(it ran out of paper) We spoke of rocks as we waited. She gave us a deal for one king bed room it was supposed to be $ 79, but instead it was $ 74 a night. Now the room is very nice. Giant king bed, a desk area with a leather chair, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, a flat screen tv, granite countertop for the sink, clean white tub, and toilet. Oh and even accent pictures and a wall mirror. Thermostat on the wall goes from hot to cold. They have Continental breakfast from 6am to 9am. Laundry room, ice room, and a nice waterfall in the front. This hotel is just right at the loop – of 31 and 323. I would recommend to anyone.

On a delayed trip to Tyler for the Gem & Mineral show and no expectations on staying til the next day. I was stuck on trying to find a decent and affordable room nearby. Executive Suites & Inn is a mile from where the show was. My sister called around and talked to the front desk lady. She was nice enough to give us directions to where their hotel was and even gave us a discount on our room. Since it was so last minute. One king size bed and one room was $ 74 for us. I went ahead and booked it for one night. The front desk lady was practically new to the place and was having technical difficulties with the printer and card reader. The manager had to come in multiple times to assist her, but my sister and I waited patently. While waiting the front desk newbie was interested in our pendants especially my sister amethyst necklace that she complimented her several times for it. Although, she thought she knew what I wearing saying it was cat’s eye when it wasn’t. So, the room was large enough for two people. It was well decorated and clean. A flat screen tv mounted on the wall, miniature refrigerator and small microwave underneath the dresser. Both matching colors — black. It was equipped with a coffee maker, hair dryer, and wash necessities. The bed was large not as comfy as my bed, but semi-soft. The parking lot is quite small, it almost filled up when we were gone eating out. The complimentary breakfast was decent, but not extravagant. It is in the same room as the front desk. Drink station is orange juice or apple, coffee machine, Texas Belgian waffle maker, cereal was fruit loops, raisin bran, or cheerios, white bread, blueberries muffin, packaged honey bun, bananas and oranges. My only complaint is the seating for breakfast the chairs are bar chair and they were kind of unstable. I almost felt like standing up to eat. I suggest — wooden chairs, but nothing too fancy as the ones they provide. Overall, this place is nice and affordable. It is on the corner located right near loop 323 and the Rose Garden center.
