Whenever I call in for delivery the lady who always answer’s the phone always goes up on the price. For instance I called about a couple of months ago and ordered Mei Fun Chicken, Hot sour soup, and egg rolls. at first it was 15.95 I called back a month later and the same order went up to 18.75 then I called again last week now it’s 20.50. I would never order delivery from this place again. They price gouge on their food which by the way isn’t all that great but it satisfied my craving that’s about it. I hope everyone who lives in Tyler that sees this review would take heed to this place and their price gouging. Avoid it its better to go to China café on the loop just down the street from old jacksonville hwy. They are much better and the food is really good. NOEGGROLLEXPRESSDELIVERY!

So it looks like a run down Kentucky Fried Chicken building… and the customer area needs some refreshing. But the owner will personally take you for a tour of their kitchen. It is the cleanest kitchen in any restaurant in Tyler. I dare say it is probably the best Chinese food in the city. So, if the building scares you off, don’t let it, just get it to go and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

What is going on at the Egg Roll Express on Front and Bonner in downtown Tyler, Texas The doors have been closed recently on days they should be open. The place never looks like it gets enough business and is a hole in the wall type place. But somehow it stays in business, has better Chinese food than the new Peking restaraunt and the husband and wife owners are always friendly. I just hope their business is ok. I will keep checking back, and if anyone knows about the state of business with the Egg Roll Express please let me know and keep supporting them and keep them in business somehow in these tough economic times. God bless.

You know that old saying, «don’t judge a book by its cover»? This applies to Egg Roll Express. The food is delicious, the manager/owner is very kind and always has a smile on his face, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants good Chinese food. I got the chicken fried rice and sweet & sour chicken, and an egg roll. And they were all satisfying.

Best Chinese in Tyler. Very friendly people who work there, especially when they get to know you. I have been going there for many years now, and nothing beats their sweet and sour chicken, or Hunan chicken. The egg rolls are very good, along with the fresh sweet and sour sauce. If you love Chinese, you need to try it.

Eggroll Express was the worst food I ever tasted. We could not eat any of it and just got yelled at in chinese. Who can make fried rice that is rancid and chicken raw. Do not eat at this grease joint.

I eat here at least once per month and I have gotten to know Charles and his menu pretty well. I highly recommend the mushroom chicken, pepper steak, and sesame chicken. The eggrolls are great too! My wife’s favorite are the cheese wontons.
