Bistrolls

Stumbled upon this place downtown and figured, why not? I went with my bf; we had the bulgolgi banh mi (this sandwich had good flavor; however the bread was a panini instead of the normal french bread so it was more bread than I’m used to). It was a little greasy, but overall it was tasty. The meat had good flavor.
We also ordered the curry pork katsu. This didn’t have as much flavor as I expected. I have been spoiled by the good Hawaiian food in Vegas so this was a tough sell for me. It was just ok. I think the dish could have used salt as well as the pork prior to being crusted to fry.
In any case, the sushi looked delicious. Unfortunately they were out of boba when I was there so I will have to return to try these :)

I’m in town from Dallas for a business meeting. I tried the Scuba Diver special. Great, fresh flavors. Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff.

Overall I was extremely pleased with this place. I am from Dallas and was a little worried about the set up. But the staff was great and extremely friendly. The seaweed salad was a great size (which is hard to find). I ordered boiled eel on the side and it was really good. I would recommend it to a friend. Prices are great too!
Also, I saw someone get their shaved ice dessert and it looked AMAZING!

Stopped by for lunch. Great atmosphere. Really interesting menu with a lot of things that you cant find elsewhere in Tyler. Tried the Avocado Miso soup and a custom sushi roll. Loved both. It’s my new go-​to place when downtown.
