Thank you for saving my vacation. After having the worst restaurant experience of my life the previous day at Fannie’s on the beach you guys were my white knight and totally knocked it out of the park! Thank you!

Hands down the best food ever. Got pork belly sliders on sweet potato waffles and the lobster and crawfish balls. The food was to die for. Bartender was super nice and friendly as well.

The food was outstanding! We spent some time on the island and we actually ate there twice, everything that we ordered was delicious, pork sliders, pork belly taco’s and lobster tater-tots were all amazing. I highly recommend this place! Look past the location and step inside!

Celebrated my graduation with 80 East Gastropub and had a great time. The menu had an eclectic selection and the food was very tasty. The dressings were delicious! I tried the blue cheese and balsamic and both were delightful. The servers were lovely; upbeat and accommodating. Thank you!

Awesome menu and staff, haven’t been disappointed. Pretty inventive food options and plenty of good draft beer, what I like to see in a pub.

For it being our first time at Tybee Island this place was AMAZING! We got the Lobster and shirp Tots as our appetizer– they were good, but not what I expected. For our main course I got the Blackened Mahi Tacos and my boyfriend got the chicken and waffles. Our food was delicious and the service here was Awesome.

We couldn’t have had a better lunch then we did here. Lobster and shrimp fondue was creamy and loaded with both. Then had the ahi tuna sandwich which was perfect from the sourdough bread to the avocado spread and tender, well finished ahi. Patrick even cheered on my wife’s attempt at the ice cream cookie dessert which was huge and as good as you can ask for, along w her half attempt at my chocolate moose cake. Well done to the 80e gastropub!

Had a wonderful meal outside on the quiet patio with our 5 and 3-year-old great grandsons. My husband and I shared a huge hamburger and the boys ordered chicken nuggets and pizza off the kids’ menu. Everything was delicious and the wait staff was attentive. They refilled the children’s sodas without being asked(the boys were as impressed as we were. Can’t wait to return.

I adore this place! If you want great service, yummy in-house made food, wide selection of beer… All at amazing prices… This is your spot! My favs so far are the porkbelly with fried green tomatoes sandwich, the reuben(thinly sliced meat, gooey cheese and spicy mustard on rye)… Fav app is the fried green tomato caprese salad. Looking forward to future visits!

This is by far the best restaurant on Tybee Island. The food was an excellent/foodie/gastro-pub spin on southern/American food and service was extremely friendly and made to feel like family. This is one of 3 of our fav’s on the Island

We found this place by mistake, you could drive right past it and not realize it’s there. Great atmosphere, clean and modern. The staff is great and above all the food is very good. They have a full bar with a great selection of beer.

I want to love 80E but more often than not the food has been average and not what one would expect in a restaurant that claims to be a gastro pub. On our most recent visit my Oyster Poorboy was fine but nothing special and my husbands low county shrimp tacos were inedible. They were a greasy mess that was almost entirely oily fried hashed brown potatoes with a few shrimp. He ate a couple of bites and left the rest. The server just gave him a shrug when he told her about what he thought of the quality of the tacos and the ratio of potatoes to shrimp. My recommendation is that when ordering at 80E stick to basics like the burger, salmon BLT or the Reuben which are more dependable. After this experience it will be a long time before we return for another meal.

My wife and I frequent 80 East, as we live on the Islands. We’ve never had a bad experience. The specials are interesting, and the staples are always good. Good burgers. Fun appetizers. Very well priced. We love this place, and always look forward to nights out at the pub.

With roots from Sundae Café, how could 80 East Gastropub go wrong? The best sandwich I’ve ever eaten is their Cuban. It isn’t on the menu but pops up as a special fairly frequently. I’m not kidding … best sandwich ever. You can take my word, as my taste buds were well trained in Louisiana, where I spent my first 42 years. I keep praying for the Cuban to graduate to full menu status. Most often, I get the Chicken and Waffles. Gladys Knight and everybody else who does this meal need to change what they call it, because these guys own it now. 80e gives you three boneless chicken thighs riding high on inch-thick sweet potato waffles and drizzled with maple bacon jam, honey chipotle sauce, and pomegranate molasses. Being a Red Stick(Baton Rouge) boy, I always sprinkle on a little Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning from my pocket dispenser, but that’s just me. When the Cuban isn’t a special and I psych myself up for adventure, I occasionally order other stuff. I’ve had three flavors of the boneless wings … am convinced there isn’t a bad flavor. The Reuben is above the top shelf, just hovering there in its glory. And I’ve spirited away some tastes of other items from the plates of my eating partners when they weren’t looking. Everything that has come from the 80e kitchen and passed my lips has been world class. The only thing that has ever disappointed me at 80e is the discovery that they have quit carrying Liquid Bliss Chocolate and Peanut Butter Porter from Terrapin Brewery in Athens, Georgia. Damn good stuff. I miss it. [Praise Jesus. Went last night, and Liquid Bliss is back!] As is the custom, dessert comes last. I’m basically a hardcore lover of bread puddings and cobblers. The Fireball Carrot Cake at 80e can make me forget that. It brings to mind this word, «Mmm.» I’d like to thank the creative and talented folks at 80 East Gastropub for being there when I need them … mealtime. So do Ben Shelby and Skylar Madison, the stars of my novel-in-progress, Tit for Tat: A Novel of Retribution, who make me hungry every damn time they eat there.

Really good restaurant on the island with attentive waiters. Good waiters are not prevalent on tybee so you’ve got to praise em when you see em! The caprese salad with fried green tomatoes was to die for. The vegetable flatbread was good, but if you aren’t a fan of balsamic you may want to skip it or ask for it on the side. It was too much for me. The Italian roastbeef sandwich got rave reviews at our table also.

Date of dining 12÷23÷15 80 East is a fantastic iteration of the classic sports bar in Tybee Island. I have been here twice and enjoyed it very much both times. The décor is cozy and modern. The stools are the perfect height for the stone topped bar. The staff is friendly and approachable. If you’re in to wings they are a must. With several fun flavors and huge meaty wings you can’t go wrong. During my last visit I went for the Sweet Chili Teriyaki and the Carolina BBQ flavors. Both were fantastic. You can get orders of 6 if you want to try multiple flavors like me. If you’re tired of the same old bar style wings this is the place for you. My girlfriend and I also went for the low country tacos which were fantastic. Everything you would expect from a low country boil in a taco… what isn’t good In taco form? The beer list is adequate but not what I would call expansive though they do do well to have several local options on tap and in bottles/cans. During our last visit my girlfriend enjoyed their apple cider mimosa…3 of them haha. If I lived in this area I would definitely be a regular for the wings alone, oh and the 3 flat screens behind the bar.

We arrived pretty late in the evening to camp at the campground nearby, and were happy to see a place with a decent menu serving later(we were getting there about 9:30pm on a Friday). I had a seared Ahi tuna club, it was good but I would recommend searing the ahi on both sides, I didn’t love having a totally raw side of fish in my sammy(maybe that’s just me). Great sauce on the sandwich too. My buddy had a ruben and said it was great. Fries were hot and crisp, I usually don’t eat many of my fries and I polished those guys off. A few good local beers on tap as well as some more well known like Sweetwater, and a full bar.

Thanks for all the great reviews. I trusted Unilocalers and put my marriage on the line stopping at a pub next to a gas station. I got some major eye rolls! Once she saw the menu, I was«the Man» again! Fried green tomato capresse, waffle chorizo burger, and ice cream sandwich for Desert. All the food is made from scratch, the quality and flavor is all there! Beer selection was excellent and the staff knew the menu and the beers to make great suggestions.

Had a rocky start with this restaurant but because they had recently opened, I decided to hold my review until I could visit again. The second visit was much better, although we could see some of the problems from the first visit still exist. I suggest you sit at the bar or in the bar area for the best service. The back tables aren’t plentiful but the staff huddles at the computer area and seem distracted. During the first visit we couldn’t get our waitresses attention for 30 minutes and finally gave up on ordering entrees. The food is very good. I highly recommend the duck confit potato skins. We had tacos and the quesadilla. Both were tasty, too. During the first visit we had the southern caprese salad and an order of wings that were both good. This restaurant is a good addition to Tybee Island dining.
