History

Established in 2012.

Our founder, Joe, has had the good fortune to live in many beautiful places. He grew up, surrounded by the lakes and snow in Minnesota and then enjoyed the stunning landscapes of San Francisco and Carmel as an adult.

Joe immediately fell in love with Twisp when he first came to the area several years ago. Over time, he found himself drawn to the empty lots along the beautiful Twisp River. Why not build an Inn on that property next to the Pub. .. a vacation home for others who wish to visit this terrific area? Once Joe decided to go forward, everything came together magically. Joe discovered Twisp has many wonderful builders and craftspeople, allowing him to use local talent to build the Hotel. He also connected with the area’s vibrant artist community for locally designed decorative pieces for the Hotel’s rooms and walls. Through his good fortune in discovering paradise, Joe has taken the opportunity to share it with everyone.

I have had the good fortune to live in many beautiful places. I grew up surrounded by lakes and snow in Minnesota and as an adult moved to the Bay Area, where I enjoyed the stunning landscapes of San Francisco and Carmel. But unlike Tony Bennett in his famous song, I didn’t «leave my heart in San Francisco». Instead, I brought it with me to Twisp.

I fell in love with Twisp when I first came to the area several years ago. Over time, I found myself drawn to the empty lots along the beautiful Twisp River. I thought, «why not build an Inn on that empty land next to the Pub… a home for those who wish to visit this terrific area?»

Once I decided to go forward, everything came together magically. I discovered Twisp has many wonderful builders and craftspeople, allowing me to use local talent to build the Inn. I also took advantage of Twisp’s vibrant artist community to find locally designed decorative pieces for the Inn’s rooms and walls. I hope

Twisp River Suites is AMAZING! I would give Joe, his staff an 11 out of 10! If you are going to Twisp don’t even think about staying somewhere else! We had a pet and stayed in the «pet suites». They have thought of EVERYTHING, including treats! We saw Joe go the extra length to personalize the stay for adults, pets and kids. Great owner, great staff! Thanks Joe!

Twisp River Suites is most definitely THE place to stay in Twisp, WA. Never before have I felt so at home in a hotel. Joe (hotel owner and host) and Quintin (hotel manager) made the experience beyond delightful. The facility is set on the river and smartly designed with a unique appearance. The comfortable and clean rooms made me so cozy. Breakfast is included and delicious with sweet delacacies and fresh fruit. Simply the best!

Highly recommend this stop on your vacation through this part of Washington. Rooms very comfortable and expansive with all the home away from home comforts you would hope for down to reading glasses and flashlights. Breakfast delicious and varied. Employees friendly and owner welcoming, funny and involved right down to mingling and cavorting with guests. In fact, it was like being home with my uncle Guido and his group of wise guys. Set right on the banks of the twisp river this is great stop not to be missed.

This really is a top notch establishment. It’s not cheap, but it shouldn’t be. We were lucky enough to be on the receiving end of an upgrade due to an over booking, so we were obviously over-​pleased with our experience, however, for any traveller I can say that this place is a class act. The owner cares for his guests and their experience and has fully committed to it in the details. The rooms are just top notch from top to bottom. You WILL NOT find better accommodations anywhere in the area and honestly other than ultra luxury resorts in destination locations I’ve never stayed anywhere better. Again, lots of small details, clean, and classy. The free breakfast is really quite good, and the whole set-​up is inviting and homey. I can’t really say it’s pricey as it is more than fair for what is offered. Everyone has their priorities, however if you are in the area to have a comfortable and classy stay Twisp River Suites is the only option.

My husband and I just came back from a long weekend spent with Joe and his crew at Twisp River Suites. This was by far the best experience we’ve ever had at a hotel. Joe as actually outside when we pulled up and he stopped what he was doing to welcome us «home». We had originally booked a single room, but when Joe showed us the suite and told us we could upgrade, there was no going back. Seriously, the suite is totally worth it. You might not need the washer and dryer or the full kitchen, but it’s sure nice to have. We spent most of our time in the suite lounging on the leather sofa in the living room and watching DVDs, which they have for you to borrow. We took advantage of their breakfast one morning. Wow. The quiche was amazing! That night, we hit the local grocery store (Joe’s recommendation) and picked up a few steaks to grill on their outdoor grills. Fantastic! They also have a fire pit right next to the water and a hot tub, but we didn’t use either. There were a lot of local events going on, which Joe and crew were happy to tell us all about. They were so tuned in to what was happening in the community and always had a suggestion on where to eat or what to see. By the end, my husband and Joe were on a first name basis. Joe and the crew at Twisp River Suites are incredible. I’ve never been so taken care of. It was an amazing experience. We will definitely be back!

Wow. High end touches everywhere you look. Huge suite., Nice set up for a small town restaurant. GPS had trouble finding it. Room was clean. Owners were friendly. They went out of their way to ship a bag we had forgotten. Would definitely recommend. Great for a special weekend…

We stumbled upon this place on a whim. From the moment we arrived — we knew we had found a special place. Every moment gets better and better. Joe and his amazing staff are warm, welcoming, and very attentive. They have thought of everything… each detail is amazing. We feel we have found a home away from home and a new family.

Definitely the best hotel in Twisp! I stayed here a while back, and it was so great. The people who run the place are fantastically warm and welcoming, and they will personally have breakfast with their guests every morning. Breakfast is amazing, by the way — all sorts of fresh fruits and delicious yogurt, bagels, granola, you name it!
They’ve also got a wonderful little area down by the river where you can relax in a hammock, read a book, and go swimming if you want to.
The rooms are beautifully done and the beds are comfy as heck.
The only complaint I have is that the AC was cranked up so much when we arrived that our room was like the Arctic tundra, but that was easily fixed!

We have spent our cross-​country-​skiing weekend here. Great suites with fireplace and a porch to the river site. Breakfast includes vegetarian and non– vegetarian quiche, home made salmon spread, fresh fruit salat and great coffee. The personal is so friendly that they feel like family. All thumbs up!

We had a suite with a standard and it was fantastic.
I can see where the standard rooms wouldn’t be rated nearly as high, pretty crowded but still VERY nice.

Highly recommend! Spend the money on the suite, a balcony overlooking the river, completely screened in to avoid the bugs. Wish we had more time to enjoy the riverside hammock and fire pit!

The Twisp River Suites are a very special place. As previous reviews have mentioned the rooms are large, very well appointed and the memory foam beds and pillows are great. Lots of thoughtful extras — iPod dock in the bedroom, reading glasses (just in case you need some and forgot), full kitchen, and the list goes on.
But what makes this really outstanding is the love and attention that Joe the owner lavishes on his enterprise and every guest. Every possible need is anticipated and fulfilled.
We stayed in the winter and came for a kids ski race at nearby Loup Loup. Joe set up a waxing room for the skis, complete with space heaters, snacks, drinks for adults and kids. After dinner at the nearby Twisp River Pub, he put on a movie for the numerous kids and served desserts and drinks.
They are building suites that will be dog friendly, so you can take your four legged friend.
If you’re going to stay in this area, this is the place to go.
I’ve never written a review ever, but in this case I felt I had to!

A comfortable getaway in the Methow!
The suites are well appointed and cozy. Full-​sized modern appliances in the suites, beautiful cabinetry, gas stove, large screen TV with huge cable package, comfortable furniture, giant screened in porch that opens for fresh air. The bedroom is well done; the bed is memory foam, there’s an ipod dock, bathroom has a giant soaking tub and beautiful tiles in the shower. All top notch.
The Suites offer a complimentary breakfast in the reception, there are weekly events hosted in here– like live jazz music and football parties. The staff here are all friendly and helpful.
Hungry? You are 10 yards away from Twisp River Pub!
Tip to the wise– there is a gas fire pit down on the river bank with chaise lounges. Perfect for a nighttime glass of wine on the Methow River.

This place is absolutely incredible. I don’t often Unilocal,but in this case I MUST. Twisp River Suites has exceeded my expectations so far beyond what I expected I truly request that on your Twisp and or Winthrop travels you MUST stay here. I came expecting just another hotel, indeed I was wrong. The suites are beautiful top to bottom, cozy, clean and I find myself wanting to stay in my room versus exploring purely because of the comfort and excitement I find right here at the Inn. Currently I’m sitting outside on our deck which rests directly above the rushing river below. I can’t get enough. I can only imagine what it would be like here in winter! The pictures on the site do not do the awesomeness of this place justice. Joe, the owner has not only made our weekend seamless, but friendly and FUN! You can sit outside after dinner and he’ll pour you wine, what’s not to absolutely adore right? I want my wedding party to stay here! A++++ All the way! This is where I will stay every time I’m in the area from here on out. Such a treat, stay here, you’ll absolutely be thrilled with your choice, I promise.

Beautiful new lodgings in Twisp in the beautiful Methow Valley. Joe is an innkeeper in the old tradition… making a personal connection with each and every guest. This is a fine lodging with every comfort. The public areas are beautiful and very lively. You can join in, or find a quiet corner. The suites & the public areas overlook the lovely Twisp River. Our room (not a suite) is small, but beautifully appointed and thoughtfully laid out.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND… wish we could stay longer. We will be coming back to Twisp just to stay here again.
