We were in town visiting friends and right before heading back to Northern California on a long drive my car started struggling shifting, the check engine light turned on, and the car had trouble starting. Mark got us in super fast and helped diagnose and get the car running smooth again in time to make our drive home that same day. So grateful. Good service, good guy.

Mark was so helpful to me over the phone. I had a question about a possible coolant leak. He asked me to come down to his shop so he could look at my car even though he was seriously busy. He gave me some great advise as to what to look for and what to check. The fact that he took his time to help me was greatly appreciated. I have found myself a new mechanic I really trust. Mark was very attentive and professional. Best part was when I got in my vehicle I noticed that all four of my windows were slightly cracked to keep the heat from being so hot as it had sat there until I got there in the afternoon

We just moved here from Arkansas and the window in my car decided to not roll up anymore. We hit Unilocal and chose Stellar based off the reviews. A quick call, an estimate and we dropped our car off the next morning (we called around closing). The work was slightly more than the estimate but we weren’t surprised considering he didn’t get a look at it before he gave us the quote. He did however have an exact cost before we left the car to make sure it was acceptable. The part had to be ordered the car was still done by closing. Works perfect. I’d recommend Stellar to everyone!

My car decided it no longer wanted to hold coolant on a Tuesday afternoon while I was at work. I called up Mark and he said to bring it over. When I dropped if off he flat out told me he didn’t think he could get it finished this week. Not a problem at all. Wednesday afternoon he called me and said he would get the part in the next day, and by lunchtime on Thursday I had a voicemail from Mark telling me my car was done. He has been an affordable, straight shooting, awesome mechanic! He is the only guy in the Morongo Basin I trust my car with!

Spectacular service! I was just passing through Twentynine Palms area from my home in Santa Barbara when my clutch went out, but let me tell you, I’m tempted to have my future car problems towed the four hours out to Mark and his team at Stellar Performance Automotive. A real breath of fresh air meeting a guy like Mark (the owner) who really cares about you, and is a genuine honest and trustful guy. He knew I was trying to get home quickly, so he ended up finishing the job before I thought he was even going to have a chance to start it. I went for a hike in Joshua Tree Park, and there is a message saying the car’s done already! Very fair price, and he even showed me the old part and explained what had happened. Highly recommended — this is the first time I’ve written a review for someone on Unilocal because I was so impressed with his service. Thanks Mark!

THE go to auto shop in 29 Palms… Mark and the crew are as honest and trustworthy as they come. I have been to the shop several times and ALWAYS get the best service and customer service. They have a passion for working on cars and it shows in their work. Respect!!!

I can not express enough just how much I love this place! Mark and his crew are truly some of the nicest most understanding guys. I crashed my Pt Cruiser coming back from my families home in Vegas, and ran into quite a few major problems that these guys made seem like cake and butter. So professional. You will not, I REPEAT, you will not find this kind of service ANYWHERE else these days. The money (that I literally don’t have), saved is quite frankly, unreal, and cant be matched at all. I love love love this place. I was having car trouble with my Toyota 4 runner. I went to 2 other places whos prices were ridiculous and the guys were total jerks. I went to stellar and the mechanic chris was very nice as well the owner mark. My car was fixed and chris even found out my back light was out and fixed it for free. Ill definitely be returning. I took my car to Stellar Auto Performance when I had trouble keeping it running one morning. I called multiple shops and they all gave me some crazy prices. When I called Stellar I spoke with a very nice gentleman who Was very helpful and gave me advice on how to keep my car running so I could get it to their shop (which worked). My car was fixed before I had to pick my kids up from school and it didn’t cost me a arm and a leg. GREAT SERVICE GREAT PRICES!

Have you ever heard stories or have been fearful of those mechanics that will rob a person of their money?
Well this is that shop, DO Not come to this shop for any work whatsoever, the only reason why i first decided to come here is because i saw that they were reputable and certified by triple aaa so i «trusted» that. When i came to the shop i was having problems with my car starting and really just wanted to pay for them to diagnose the problem. later i got a call and they told me that my distributor was bad and needed to be replaced, i asked him for a estimate mainly because i didnt have another car and was in a hurry so i couldnt get the part unless i ordered online but i would have to keep my car there. The Mechanic on the phone quoted me for 400 – 600 dollars! On top of the 100 dollars i was going to pay for diagnosis. I have a honda and man those are easy cars to work with, especially considering the only thing you have to do to replace the distributor for my car is unscrew 3 screws and thats it! I denied further work to be done on my car because that is just insane money for such an easy job, when i told him i would just do it myself he just scoffed at me like i was some idiot that had no idea what he was doing. After the call i went to the shop got my car to start and barely made it home, i then ordered the part, and the next day i put it in and it took me less than 30mins! Car was up and running after that, all problems solved. Again do not come here they will rob you and try to make you feel stupid by being rude and arrogant.
If i was the chief of the fire department and got a call that this place was on fire i would let it burn to the ground
