The stuff talk loud. $ 50 for a public library? BTW, this is your grandparents’ play house. An old guy looked up the route at google map and write it down. avoid it by going to Sloatsburg library…

We LOVE the library! If you are a resident then I encourage you to check it out. Wonderful children’s section. Great activities. It’s a very social place to be and absolutely helped us beat«cabin fever» this winter. Not to mention they were open and aiding to those affected by the recent hurricane(Sandy). Thank you to our favorite librarians!

I only use them during the summer and get a temporary pass it cost 50 $ and they return 25 of it when you return the card. This library offers lots of books, dvd’s, cd’s, audio books, magazines and much more. they have recently done a small makeover on the inside for the children’s section which we enjoy. The movie section is great and you can rent out as many as you want with the exception of new releases which you can get two of. The staff is super friendly, and try their best to make it a good experience. Oh and free wifi when they are open!

They charge $ 50 for a temporary library card, $ 25 fee and a $ 25 returnable deposit. I’m assuming this is because people from the renaissance festival in the past have left without returning their books, but this really isn’t fair. Everyone I’ve spoken with about it has agreed that it’s unreasonable. I could just go to a bookstore and buy a bunch of new books for that much! Also, I was asked to turn the music in my headphones down, in the middle of a room which contained: a) a crying child, b) his grandmother who was ignoring him and playing a game on the library computer with the sound turned all the way up and NO headphones, c) a man practicing German out loud on Rosetta Stone, also with no headphones. Really, now?
