If you go here make sure they understand you. I can’t understand how«grilled cheese» became Philly cheese steak but it did and it looked gross. And then they insisted it was what I ordered. I believe there was a language problem but that is no excuse. Please learn the language of the country you want to run a successful business in. Sorry but the truth.

There’s much in Tuxedo and without Bentley’s I would be screwed. It’s directly across from the train station and a great place for a bite to eat or to use the bathroom. Service can be a bit slow when a group comes in so make sure you give yourself enough time to make the train. Tallboys are generally under $ 3 and quite refreshing after a hike. They have a good selection of snacks as well. I’ve had the deluxe Italian sandwich which was absolutely massive. It was packed full of meat and I struggled to finish it. I’ve also had the turkey club which was tiny and had very little meat which left me hungry. I’ve had the fries with gravy and cheese which were good for a bodega but would have been terrible if served in a restaurant. It was a decent sized portion of fries with some cook and serve gravy and half melted slices of american cheese thrown on top. As the only convenience store in Tuxedo this place is a lifesaver.

These people deserve more than two and a half stars, for sure. Sooooooo I got on the Port Jervis line to go to the RenFaire with one of my best friends. Once we hopped off the glorious NJT at Tuxedo, we found that the RenFaire was still six miles away! Ummmmm… After calling all of the car services that we could find on Unilocal(the list was limited– and all were sketchy/a million dollars) we dejectedly walked across the street to Bentley’s, across from the train station, and decided to ask their advice, old-school. As soon as we walked in, the woman working the counter was totally sympathetic and provided us with the business cards of HER favorite car services(neither of which was found on Unilocal– yet unfortunately I don’t remember their names or have their numbers saved). The one that we decided to use gave us a thirty-minute lead time(yeah, he actually would get one or two stars if I could review him — but he drove us cheaply and somewhat safely* — so I cannot complain too much) so I ordered a breakfast sandwich and coffee while we waited. GOSHDANG that breakfast sandwich was good. I mean, WOW. I wasn’t even hung over or anything.(You know how when you’re hung over, breakfast sandwiches are like 1,000 times better?) Seriously, though, I didn’t even think they had a cook on duty, but this guy appeared out of nowhere and whipped me up one of the best(and cheapest!) breakfast sandwiches of my life. Piping hot. Toto, I don’t think we’re in Dunkin’ Donuts anymore. Wow. There are booths and stuff, too– about six of them. Reminded me of that scene in «When Harry Met Sally»(no, not THAT scene) when they stop at a roadside diner. Very old school. Coffee was OK. Not bad. And cheap! Come here for a breakfast sandwich. Or, if anything, come here for the monopoly on numbers for usable car services. _______ * I really don’t think this car could have possibly passed the emissions test. Also, it was the driver’s personal car that he’d probably had since he was about seventeen. He also had no shirt on. And not in a good way.

I don’t know who Bentley is, but apparently the owners are Indian and they serve an assortment of sandwiches alongside Mexican food. My friend informed me that they usually have help and they’re «Mexican» so I guess it’s legit. After a short overnight hike we came here to grab lunch while we waited for our train. The husband and wife team was absolutely swamped with people ordering food since there are only a few other restaurants directly across from the train station. The deli sandwich was fine, nothing special and they do have a moderately sized seating area. Prices are about what you would expect and kudos for them for making everything to order. It may slow down everything but at least you know you’re food is fresh.

Run-of-the-mill deli sandwiches. $ 10 credit card minimum(I understand why people do this in the city, but in Tuxedo, NJ?!). Terrible service. Both times I went there I somehow found myself arguing with the woman behind the counter over nothing. Forget it. It’s obvious this deli used to be something special and that the current owners bought the business and drove it straight into the ground.
