Would definitely recommend Ted! I called this company based on the high y=Yelp reviews. He returned my phone calls/​emails very promptly, and showed up right on time. He was able to fix our AC for a very fair price, and gave us recommendations for what we might expect in the future if we need to replace our 20+ old AC/​Furnace. He was very honest, and took the time to answer all of the questions I had. I will definitely call Ted in the future!

I am very impressed with the quality work from Ted and his team with my Heating/​AC replacement. My 25+ year old AC has been leaking freon and would not stay cold and the furnace was not working at all. I received quotes from three companies to replace the equiipment. While his was not the lowest, it was fair and his warranty on workmanship was twice as long as the others. His professionalism, knowledge and commitment made the choice a no-​brainer. I even e-​mailed him a list of questions on a Sunday, expecting him to respond the next day during business hours. Instead he called me back within an hour and spent 20 minutes on the phone answering my questions and making sure I understood my options.
On the day of the work, he and his team all showed up on time and worked well together. They took their time to do a top notch job. As others have said, he hauled the old unit away and left the workspace cleaner than they found it.

What a great company and Ted is the one of the most honest and thoughtful people I have met!
My husband and I had just purchased a 1938 home where a previous owner had DIY’d the furnace into the crawl space. The thing was a horror to look at with vents laying on the ground and sitting in a pile of it’s own filth — no person in their right mind would flip a switch and turn that monstrosity on! Ted came out to give us an estimate to replace the furnace and A/​C and move the furnace up to the attic, putting in all new venting, and replacing the floor vents with ceiling vents. Ted took the time to look over everything, asses the situation and answer all of my questions and consider our needs. Ted went over all the different choices of equipment, what each one provided, etc.
Ted gave us a very competitive estimate, and we were ready to call and book the job. By a twist of fate, my husband had been talking to one of his golf buddies that had a friend who owns a different HVAC Company and that guy came out later that day and said he would do the job for cost. As we had a limited budget to work with after purchasing a home with much work to be done, we couldn’t pass up that offer.
My husband called Ted to let him know that we were very sorry to have wasted his time and he was very nice about it and said he understood.
I am truly sorry we didn’t get to work with Ted, I strongly feel that he would have done an excellent job, and I would highly recommend his services to anyone!

Ted came out in January and gave a thorough review of our outdated heating and air conditioning. He showed different options, and we compared his ideas to other bidders. We chose to buy a new ac and heating system from Ted, and they work great! He was reasonably priced, used great quality products, and had a friendly, hard-​working team. They were on time and kept the carpet and house clean all the while they worked. We’ve needed both the heat and ac with this crazy weather, and what a difference the new system makes! Thanks Ted!

Best company out there!!! The owner Ted is extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of air conditioning and heat. We needed an entire installation of air and a replacement furnace. I had two other companies come out for bids. Not only were they both late for the bid… They both were not nearly as thorough as Ted.
Ted was prompt and his crew could not have been nicer and so professional. They cleaned up afterwards to the point I couldn’t even tell that they had been there all day.
Ted told us two days and it was done in two days.
I have told everyone I work with and socialize with to definitely use TC.

Our heater stopped working. I called Ted and he came out for a service call that same day. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty circuit board, ordered the part, and installed it the following morning. Ted is professional, courteous and the cost for the repair was fair. I highly recommend TC Heating & Air.

I called because I found calcium deposits on my heater vent and they had the earliest available appointment. Found out that was not a big deal and I just need to keep it clean Ted did a great job it was very personable explaining what was going on and even check to see if there are any carbon monoxide leaks. Now I can sleep with peace of mind the middle of the coldest week of the year thanks to them and they’re free diagnostic. Will definitely use them again, hopefully there will not be a next time but if there is I’ll be calling them first. They were also the first one to make an appointment in the week. Again honesties the best policy for return customers.

The air conditioner went out when the weather was predicted to be over 100. I called a couple places and was told it would be a week or 2 before they could come out. One guy said I could pay extra for a rush. I called TC and they scheduled me for the next day and a normal service fee. The repairman came out diagnosed the issue, (compressor) and showed me how he could tell it was bad. He changed it in minutes and also changed my air filter. By the time he was finished the house was already cooling. Could not be happier or cooler. Thank you!

Top notch professionals here. I called for a bid for a new system and TC was the most competitively priced out of 5 other companies. I found them to be very knowledgable, professional, prompt, and provided great customer service. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for AC repair or replacement.

I’m a shopper, picky. Be prepared, because TC under promises and over delivers! I can’t say enough about this top notch, professional team.
I got four bids to replace our 35 year old furnace and broken AC on a two story, single family home from four highly rated companies.
Our unique problem is a huge, high ceiling, 2^nd floor master bedroom that always cooks in summer and freezes in winter because it’s furthest from the furnace/​AC.
One bid was pure sales drama with a jacked up price. A second bidder warned that our electrical could only support a four ton system (cheaper equipment) at same price to us (raising their profit). But our home clearly requires a five ton system — another easy elimination.
TC’s proposal stood out. He heard our master bedroom problem and suggested replacing all the easily accessible duct work in the attic. High cost benefit. He made numerous other simple, genius, suggestions missed by the other company’s. He topped it off with a simple handshake with his bid on the back of his business card.
Right now I’m chilling in the master bedroom with the wife under the covers while the kids barbecue in the back yard! The air flow to the master bedroom exceeds my expectations as did Ted and his crew! We owe a big «Thank-​You» to TC for outstanding quality workmanship at an affordable price! TC does business the old fashion way — top quality workmanship standing behind a handshake and a smile.

Ted replaced our air conditioner and was great to work with throughout the process. He offered very reasonable prices and didn’t try to upsell us. He was on-​time and on-​schedule. Very polite, great communication, great customer service. We would highly recommend this company.

Ted’s company is not one of the «big ad guys» and that means a family owned business with a smaller crew. They do the job like the best of the best though and deliver tremendous results.
TC is worth waiting for even if it’s a few days or a couple of weeks before they can fit you into their schedule. Ted seems to go out of his way to make it work. I suspect he’d come over on Christmas if you needed him, but it would be so rude to ask!
BTW, I saw a 2 star review complaining about turn around time. If it’s 10,000 degrees outside and your a/​c breaks, get over it. It’s California. You’ll have to wait in line with the rest of us. A/​C repair isn’t like Disneyland, people!

We needed to have routine maintenance on our HVAC systems and I called Ted at TC Heating and Air Conditioning based on the ratings. We were certainly not disappointed and Ted provided excellent communications and thoughtful recommendations. As luck would have it, our thermostat also died just before I called to make the appointment. Ted went out of his way to locate the exact replacement we requested. He was very punctual and meticulous in his work. He also treated our home with respect and wore shoe coverings when working in the carpeted areas. To top it off, he also gave us an unexpected discount on recharging the cooling system.
We are extremely happy with the service and will be using TC Heating and Air Conditioning for all of our future HVAC needs!

TC service was a great experience. They fix the problem on our AC letting us know it was going to cost over 650 bit the bill came out to be 410. There very honest and I have no problem referring them to anybody.

Ted was more than pleasant to work with. I knew that his coming out would require a service fee if we didn’t end up hiring him to do the work. He took his time and explained what he was going to do as far as checking out what was wrong with our AC unit. He discovered that the the type of ceiling mounted unit (we live in a condo) was not one that he could service and I REALLY appreciated the honesty up front vs being told he could try to fix something that would only end up costing me more money to have fixed again later. He reccommended that I go with a company with expertise in that type of unit and did NOT charge me the service fee. Professional, on time and honest. Who does that anymore? Very impressed with the integrity of Ted and his company and would definitely refer them to others. Honesty goes a long way.

The heater at our rental property died and we were looking for replacing with central heat and air. We received bids from several companies and Ted’s was very competitive. He was also very helpful with his suggestions and listening to our concerns. Ted showed up on the day promised to start the install. He and his tech spent extra time making the cut-​ins in our decorative plaster ceilings something we were really concerned about. Not a single patch was required. Ted finished the install a day early and we are very happy with how the installation was performed.
I would strongly recommend Ted and his team and would use him again for any AC needs.

Fantastic experience with Ted when replacing my furnace. Company is a smaller operation, which is to my liking. Ted came out for the estimate and performed the work, unlike other companies that send a less experienced lackey to do the work.
Ted is patient and answered all my questions, while keeping an objective assessment of the situation. I never felt like I was getting the sales pitch. $ 70 for the in-​home consultation, but I actually prefer it that way. Paid Ted for his time to assess the issue and received a pressure-​free analysis of the options. Extremely punctual for both the estimate and the repair, and finished the job under the expected time.
I will definitely be using this company again to replace an aging AC system.

I have been meaning to post a review and it’s time I took as good of care of them as they did us!
During the recent heat wave the AC decided it was a good time to blow hot air instead of cold into our little Irvine home. And in spite of my repeated kicks to the AC unit and walking around cursing the poor hard working little guys vain efforts to keep our place cool, it was useless. Almost as useless as the many other increasingly desperate calls to get someone, anyone to please come out and let me give them a big old check to get my poor pregnant and overheated wife a night of relief…
But Ted took pitty on us, didn’t take advantage of the fact that I’d have happily bought a whole new unit, and came out between other calls to fix what turned out to be a simple fuse inside the poor overworked little AC unit. He seriously charged us like only $ 10 plus the service call! Who still does that?! Who is crazy honest and treats their customers great?! Obviously these guys!!!
So yeah, I can’t say enough nice things about them, other than to tell my friends, family and other Unilocalers to get a preventative check up on your AC before it gets hot, and check out the furnace before it gets cold, and be happy you found an honest and trustworthy guy who will do great work !!
Thanks to him we were fixed and enjoying the AC before other places even called us back…
