She is not listening to you
The problem is that she is always thinking of what tells you next and filling the forms on computer to give you print at the end and she is not listening to what you say ! also more caring about money than you. She charged us double (!) when my child was sick and I asked why and they said because she is ill and the price is different. She also sold me the samples of the vitamins she had and later I saw on the label is written for sample not for sale ! not recommended.

We were recommended by my OBGYN to got o Dr. Patel because that’s where she takes her own kids. We visited the office and got to meet Dr. Patel and the staff and everyone was very nice and we loved the small office feel. With our first child we were in and out of the office a lot because our son was in daycare at 3 months. We were always able to get an appointment the day of which was helpful for first time parents. Now, we have a daughter and also take her to Dr. Patel and she just loves her. We are so thankful to have found such a kind and caring doctor and staff to take our children to.

Dr. Patel came highly recommended by both my OB and my best friend. I can not say enough wonderful things about her! Before I committed to taking her on as my baby’s pediatrician I was given a tour of the office and shown where all the meds were stored. Everything is very clean and organized, the staff is also kind and helpful. I also really appreciate that I can call in the middle of the night and speak with someone if I have any questions about my children’s health. She has cared for both of my girls (ages 3 and 1) from the very beginning and I could not be happier. She is knowledgable, kind hearted, and she always makes it a point to show compassion to the kids.

Dr. Patel was referred to us by a family friend who went to her for years until her children were grown. I was a first time mom in 2009 and our newborn baby girl became VERY ill at 5 days old due to a pediatrician named Dr. Winkelman who misdiagnosed her and was treating her for something she didn’t have. Dr. Patel got us right in and knew exactly what was wrong with our baby, we went in every day for 5 days for treatment and dodged getting admitted to the hospital because of Dr. Patel.
I am now a mom of 3 kids and they all ADORE Dr. Patel. Anytime I have called with a concern she emails or calls me right back and gets me what I need. I have called on vacation and even after a cross country move before we had a doctor, I called her with concerns and she helped us. Dr. Patel is a gem. Truly an amazing doctor. We have come in the office with some pretty weird things and every time her and her team have diagnosed and treated our kids exactly how it needed to. I truly can’t say enough good things about Dr. Patel. We love her and are so thankful for her and the care she gives!!!

Please take care of your your child and don’t bring him to Dr. Patel. She is an absolute abomination of a pediatrician. We were traveling to northern California to visit my sons grandparents when my son became very constipated. He was to the point where he was crying and super uncomfortable. We had previously called the doctors office and one of the doctors other than Patel told us we could use Miralax to make him comfortable. So we purchased the Miralax and realized that it didn’t have a dosage for my infant son. We called back and Dr. Patel was the doctor on call. She said that she would NOT give us the dosage of the Miralax because she didn’t prescribe it. I told her that the other doctor did in her same office and if she could just help us/​my son get comfortable. Dr. Patel said she doesn’t suggest anything and that I had to change his diet over the next four days. I begged her and said «my son is crying and super uncomfortable can you please help him now!» She REFUSED. She also said to not waste their time by calling after hours about constipation and how to make him comfortable.
During that evening, my mom was so distraught over my son that she was in tears too and at that point we were all crying.
Another time late in the evening my son woke up crying with a high fever and vomiting and called the office and the doctor never called back. Dr. left a message the next day and said that they assumed everything was ok???
At his one year check up they are supposed to do a blood test that checks their cholesterol, sugar level, iron etc. and that was NOT done. Had no idea about this because I have different health coverage finally and saw a new doctor and they asked if it was done and I said Dr. Patel’s office never mentioned it. They also don’t inform you when your child’s next recommended visit is. When you go for a visit, they just tell you that you missed your appointment?? I never received any calls or was told when he is supposed to go. I just thought it was every six months so that is when I would call office for an appointment.
Took him to be seen for croup and it was the sixth day of it and wasn’t getting any better and the issue of concern was that I needed to find another Pediatrician in less than a month because we were waiting until 2 years in order to give our son the MMR vaccine. We have given him all other vaccines. She did NOTHING for his croup and said that if it gets worse just go to the ER. She said he seemed fine???
She rushed us out of there after her million miles a minute way of talking and won’t answer your questions. I said can you please help my son, it gets worse at night and if she knew about croup and it being that many days she would have given him a steroid to shrink the swelling.
Instead here we are at 11pm, I had just had surgery a few days prior and here we are that same evening driving to the ER because my son can’t breathe.
The reason I took my son in that day (my sister-​in-​law was helping out with my son since i had had surgery and I couldn’t lift him and needed to rest and sister-​in-​law had rearranged her schedule for drive from HB to Tustin) was to avoid going to the ER. I thought she was a knowledgable doctor and could help.
Instead we are at the ER from 11pm to 2am (husband and I ended up having to drive separately driving which was a no-​no for me) I had already gone to Dr. Patel’s office which took part of the early afternoon to mid-​day and was already done physically after that visit. Here i was driving to ER by myself at 11 pm at night only to wait three hours for the steroid that Dr. Patel could have given. We had been up the previous nights and my poor husband had his last day of training that evening, so when we got home at 2 then hubby stayed up till 4 to finish his training that day then slept for 45 minutes and got up to go to work. ALL of that could have been avoided had Sangeeta Patel done something about it at the visit that day.
Dr. Patel is just negligent and has no concern for your child.
(I was told by a neighbor about Dr. Patel and she had said she was great and that she would call back and even follow up with her and her son and if she had any further questions after every visit and even check up with her randomly which is why I chose Dr. Patel) I never experienced any of this with Dr. Patel and I am sad and embarassed I have to bring this card to play, but the lady that told me about Dr. Patel being so fabulous with her time etc. is the same race as her. I hate to think that that would come in to play and would have her actually treat patients differently which makes me really sad. I thought when you took the oath as a doctor you are there to treat the patient and not let anything else like race religion etc. get in the way of how you take care of your patients. I had chosen her because I though she sounded like an exemplary doctor and just got a doctor that is rude and tells you that you are wasting their time. Nurses are lovely though!

Dr. Patel was recommended by my wife’s OB who uses Dr. Patel for her own children. Dr. Patel introduced herself on day 2 in the hospital and we were so glad she did because my wife’s milk hadn’t come in and our daughter was starving and hospital would not allow any formula. My sister just had her baby and didn’t see her pediatrician until after discharge. During our hospital visit Dr. Patel placed the order, formula was brought into our room by the nurses an hour later and our baby got her first meal. My wife’s milk eventually came in but the formula was a godsend in the interim. We always have a lot of questions at our wellness visits and Dr. Patel is knowledgeable and patient with us. Dr. Patel didn’t hesitate to accommodate our request to space out the vaccinations. Staff is always upbeat/​friendly and we’ve never spent more than 5 mins in the waiting room. Our daughter is now 6 months and is healthy happy baby. I would highly recommend Dr. Patel for newborns.

Dr. Sangeeta is may be smart but she do not have patient, always hurry to finish up her appointments. She never give enough time to patient. and she expect parents to know all about medicines. She talks so fast and do not give enough information about what to do to cure sick child. Now she has new Dr. Sharma she seems nice but her and Snageeta’s opinion about medicines never match.
and Dr Sharma never calls back if you leave her message about any urgent matter. It happened twice where I left message and my PH# with nurse to give Dr call back but she never did. I am very disappointed with these Dr. I am wondering to switch with another Dr.

Doctor Patel is the nicest doctor. She is up front and makes sure you know everything you need to take care of your kid. My son has been going there since he was born and she is wonderful with him. He is still young, but he doesnt mind going to the doctor. Even the On-​Call is great. If you call after hours and leave a message they are really good about getting back to you asap. Would recommend them to anyone.
