Reinvent Your Space

I was eager to get some spring cleaning done so I hired Reinvent Your Space to help covert our former office into my kids new playroom. Wow! Alice went above and beyond. I consider myself a relatively organized person, but Alice and her assistant took it to a whole new level. I never could have accomplished what she was able to do in a few short hours. When she was here, she actually seems more like a friend helping you get organized. A pleasure to have on your home and she’s great at what she does. I desperately want her to come back and work on my closet!

We had Reinvent My Space work on our garage for 4 hours organizing, donating unused items and she even went through our paints and got rid of old paint and hazardous waste. It is unbelievable the weight that has been lifted off my shoulders. Her prices are very affordable. What Alice does is life changing. I love my garage space now and I might even put our extra car in there now. If you are overwhelmed and just cant get started you need to call Alice. You will be re-​inspired in all aspects of your life when she gets rid of the clutter you get piece of mind.

I grew up in a packrat environment and I have been a packrat since I was very young. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and work out of my home so being able to be organized in a small space is very important to me. I had really been trying hard for the past 2 years to organize my house and de-​clutter. I spent many weekends organizing and going through things but I just felt like the process was so slow and I wasn’t making much progress. I honestly felt like I would never get a handle on all of my possessions. I was especially overwhelmed with paper and had a hard time finding things. I was really nervous about hiring an organizer but I just felt so overwhelmed that I decided I had to get help. I spoke with Alice over the phone and immediately felt comfortable. She has a very non-​judgmental, patient, sensitive and encouraging attitude and she made me feel at ease! She also has a funny lighthearted side and kept me laughing when it got especially hard. Our first session I got rid of 8 bags filled to the brim of things I didn’t need and cleared up a lot of space in my closet. Alice is really great about helping you sort out what needs to go and she creates a system that will help you find and easily maintain order with what is left. On another session we went through my office. She set up a color coded filing system and helped me determine what I needed to keep and what could go. She also created an implemented a to-​do list to help me organize the papers that needed responding to as well as all those errands and follow up items that I had. She brought a scanner and scanned and labeled and emailed me documents that I wanted to keep and So that I can organize them on my computer instead of taking up valuable shelf space and file space. On another session we tackled my son’s room and she had some great ideas for helping kids stay organized. I am starting to see more and more clear space and I feel so much more organized. I am also finding that I am better able to organize and get rid of things on my own with the tools that Alice has taught me. I found that I made a lot of progress in between our sessions because of the systems she had already set in place and because of the techniques and processes she taught me. Alice has been an absolute life-​saver and I am so incredibly thankful that I found her. She has made the process so much fun and I feel like she really genuinely cares about me. It was worth every penny and she has saved me hundreds of hours that I would have spent trying to do this on my own and trying to find things. I feel like a huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders. I didn’t realize just how overwhelmed I was and how much stress I had in my life until I experienced what it feels like to be this organized! This whole experience has brought me such a sense of peace and control it feels so good to be in my new reinvented space!

For the past several years, I have read so many books on how to unclutter your space. That is because my closet was full of clothes that I have accumulated over the years, stacked up like sardines, to the point that I would rather buy clothes rather than look for them among the piles. Of course my buying more clothes just added more to the problems.
Yet every time I started to clean up my closet no matter how hard I tried, I got discouraged after only about fifteen minutes. Discouraged because I was so confused about what to do.
This is where Alice of Reinvent Your space came to my rescue. Alice made everything so easy. She did not just coach me but did everything, with my input only when needed. Within a matter of hours, she helped me get rid of 8 full bags of clothes that I never used, and took them to the Salvation Army. For the remaining clothes, Alice rearranged them in such a neat, efficient and logical way that made it easy to identify and access any clothes. For items that are not easily stackable, Alice also provided clear plastic boxes for the same price she paid, saving me so much time in going to the stores to buy them.
In order to get my closet done in much less time, Alice also brought another organizer, Kirsten. This was especially great for me given my busy schedule.
Not only Alice is great and efficient, she has a wonderful personality. Getting rid of your stuff could be an emotional process, but with her positive and compassionate attitude, the process was surprisingly enjoyable.
I am still amazed at how much happy and peaceful I feel to have gotten rid of my clothes and to have an uncluttered closet. I wholeheartedly recommend Alice and Reinvent Your Space. I am looking forward to having Alice help me with my bathroom, kitchen, garage, and office.

I can’t rave enough about what Alice does. She and her colleague Kirsten packed up years worth of belongings: dishes, China, linens, art and an entire home office etc etc and after the movers took everything to my new home, she unpacked and neatly put away 30 years of stuff in just a few days. I hate to let them go. They have not only been incredibly efficient but they’ve been emotionally supportive. This was a sad move due to divorce and they made it relatively painless!

Six stars still wouldn’t be enough! Alice took a mess in my garage and made it go away! She organized my move from two separate homes into a third and took all of my stress away. She even helped me sell a car. No need for a therapist. Just call Alice!

So, stuff accumulates right? And although you mean to clean it and put it away, find it a home, more stuff piles on, and before you know it– you’re overwhelmed with the task at hand and stressed out by seeing the clutter everyday. This is my life. So lucky and thankful to have Alice in it. She was neither intimidated nor judgmental about my very cluttered office and spare bedroom. She normalized my embarrassment and just jumped right in. Although she encouraged me to get rid of things, I never felt pressured when I wanted to hold onto something, and she simply found a solution for it! Before I knew it, my office was organized and usable, and my spare bedroom was almost empty looking, with 2 extra empty drawers in a dresser! She is very creative about organizing and making use of the space available. She is also easy going and fun to work with. It’s obvious that she truly enjoys organizing and the transformation from clutter to clean and organized was phenomenal. I cannot recommend her enough!

Alice was great! I was self-​consious at first letting someone in to see my disorganized and cluttered kitchen, but with Alice, I felt comfortable with her the minute she walked in. We’ve lived in that house for 15 years and it’s always felt overwhelming to think about cleaning out each cupboard. Alice was so encouraging, cheering me on to donate the items I don’t use or have too many of. I felt like she walked me through the process of «letting go» and then about half way through I was so ready to purge. I didn’t know I had that many unused items in my small kitchen! She also helps you figure out what works best for you and your family, gives great tips and suggestions and will help to clean and organize too. It’s been about a week since she’s been here, and still feel motivated to keep organizing and also put things back where i’ve found them. Thank you so much!

Today, the day before Thanksgiving, I AM THANKFUL FOR Alice of Reinvent Your Space organizing.
Alice dug into my «mess» without any reluctance, attitude or bullish take over, «my way or the highway.»
She had great ideas and asked before doing anything. She showed me a great deal of respect and, respect for my items as well.
I had a great deal of anxiety for days before the appointment and wanted to cancel a dozen times. But within minutes of her arrival, I was, more or less, completely at ease. It wasn’t much like what we’ve all seen on TV with only the three box categories. For the items I was able to send to charity, she was detailed in leaving me a list of just what was going. Yes, as in SHE took the items on my behalf! Happily, there was no opportunity for me to go back through the boxes after she left… just to find a trimmed down version of what we had just cleaned out.
She did a great majority of the hard, hands-​on work. My job was turned into a matter of telling her where of several categories I wanted the items to go. There was just something about Alice handling the materials, and not me, which made it much, much easier to make decisions.
You will never be as stressed by your «mess» again! One, you’ll have a new perspective and new skills and, two; frankly, you’ll know you can always call for another session with Alice and accomplish a huge amount, together. Be sure to take a before and after picture to encourage yourself of just HOW WONDERFUL that next area can look with the new systems.

Alice came to my house today to help me fight the big ferocious monster in my bedroom. We won the battle.
She is a very nice lady who carefully takes the time to go through the 3 or 4 years worth of clutter and gets the job done efficiently. She has good ideas like totes, labels, cord keepers, and drawer dividers. She coached me and motivated me to get my project started. I needed someone to remind me that I don’t need half the stuff I have kept for years and never used. My room is not so scary now. Thanks Alice!

I highly recommend Alice, she is great! She helped us navigate through years of pack ratting and clutter and somehow made sense of it all. I was very overwhelmed and stressed looking at the daunting task ahead of me, I decided to bring Alice in and it was the best decision I made; it’s like night and day over here and I couldn’t be happier. Alice is also a sweetheart and very easy to get along with, if you are thinking of hiring her, do it, you won’t regret it.

After nearly 30 years at the same address, we unexpectedly sold our home and had to downsize and move quickly. I was completely overwhelmed since every closet, cabinet and garage storage space was full of «stuff.» Alice helped me keep my sanity while we decided what to keep, what to donate, and what to sell. She also helped me prepare for a huge garage sale. Alice has a very calm and cool demeanor, which was very comforting during that stressful time. Alice takes the initiative to research what items may be worth so that the client can make a decision about what to do next. She even recycled items that I would have put in the trash! As a busy working mom, I was growing increasingly frustrated with our messy garage, closets, and play areas. I decided to give Alice a call, I’m so glad I did! Alice is methodical, efficient, and compassionate in her approach; giving wonderful suggestions such as lining up books by height (who knew?!) and showing me the secret to folding fitted sheets, but at the same time understanding that sentimental moms like to keep scraps of paper that their five-​year-​olds have scribbled on. I found it very helpful that Alice is 1) is eco-​conscious, saving all recyclables 2) hauls away any items you want to donate so they’re not sitting in your garage (plus itemizes them for you and mails you the goodwill receipt!) 3) comes prepared with various totes, etc that she sells to you at the price she bought them for and 4) provides other services such selling your nicer items on ebay for you. Working with Alice inspired me to get my house in order, I’ve been slowly working through each room and area, using the tips she has given and what a difference it has made!
