Peppertree Park

I would have liked this park better if it wasn’t surrounded by two major streets! It can be a little unsettling if you have a small toddler that zips around faster than you can say «go!». The play equipment was pretty nice and the park itself was rather clean, but I would prefer to go to a park that is a little bit more tucked away.

Bum sleeping on the ground feet away from where children play, nursing an evil hangover. This man had a growth of meat on his forehead and resembled a unicorn from hades. I’m not kidding.
Next to him on a bench was a battered older Korean woman screaming «don’t hang up on me bobby what I do!!?» While constantly calling this mysterious Bobby character back in agony.
A trashy tattooed couple placed their hideous dog on the children’s slides etc as they both coughed up loads of mucous.
This is a park to take kids?
Not to mention the giant slab of wood placed to block one slide, without any danger warnings or explanation as to why it was closed.
A total wasteland of a public park.

Great park with a good events schedule. As with most parks, the only issue is parking and traffic for the bigger events.

This park is one of the primary parks in Tustin.

play structure! yep! and when your kids are on the structure they cant get off because of all the dangerous alligators!!! arrrrrrg!

lawn bowling and or bocci ball– yep!
bbq! yep
baseball diamond and back stop! yep

zoo! yep! only its really just the bathroom area:)
and the bathrooms… hmmmmm…sketch peeps. its a gathering place for kids ditching school and heavy smoking. heavy.
walk your kids to the bathroom here ya?
i have witnessed several parents giving tustin pd a call because of the «crowd». rough bunch and there is often alcohol involved.
solid three stars! its a public place so the public will be there.

Just an FYI your street map references Santa Ana and NOT Tustin. Peppertree Park is on 1^st street east of the 5 freeway between B & C streets. Your map shows 230 West 1^st Street in Santa Ana.

Good park to hang around play baseball/​softball and a childs play area. It also comes with places to grill food.

I went to the last Concert in the Park here and it was wonderful. Totally famiy centered community. Parking was easy and finding a spot on the lawn was a breeze.

Peppertree Park is our family’s go to park for play time with the kids. There are two jungle gym structures and a swing set. There is also a large grass area for soccer or a game of catch or Frisbee.
Most of the reviews center on the summer concerts that the City of Tustin hosts during the summer. I have been to a few of these. They are nice events. The city brings in decent cover bands and musical troupes. The only downer is, as with any event of this type, the traffic and parking.
On week end mornings, the park is pretty empty. You can easily get a shady table to enjoy a picnic brunch. I recommend Peppertree Park for a nice easy family outing.

South Pacific was wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the acting and music. The only distracting thing was the constant plane traffic overhead. But I should have expected that in Tustin. Bravo!

Concert in the park series in the summers are usually a fun time! Lots of food vendors and interesting cover bands. It’s a nice park and well maintained. I do miss living so close by.

I came here with my friends who live in the area. The City of Tustin had a summer concert series at this park. The week I showed up was when the «Journey» tribute band, DSB (Don’t Stop Believing) was performing.
Thank You to the City of Tustin for putting on a great party for their local residence.
Pepper Tree Park is located walking distance from Downtown Tustin.
Lots of open air and equal shade for everyone.
An impressive playground which will put a smile on any kid’s face.
A baseball field for the bigger kids and adult softball leagues.
And many picnic tables to be had on any other day than when I visited this park.
Because my friends and buddies live in the area, I am sure to visit this park again during the next year’s set of concerts.

Who knew such a fun simple place could exist for fam, friends, general strangers to meet & enjoy life’s outdoor FREE open air pleasures… thx to ‘Gringos R-​Us Meetup Group’ for posting:

Only bummer: music performance didn’t last very long, 6−8pm which is fine, but even better ’til 10pm to dance the night away. Once they got started my tapping/​twirling feet didn’t want to stop… esp. in the cool-​warm July air & seductive rhythms.
Tip: parking appears overwhelmed w/​visitors, but more spaces can be found in back-​lot of nearby fenced church w/​trailer units. Gates open late for special events such as this at no extra charge, woo-​hoo!
Also awesome, another thx to Unilocal-​help locate good nearby eateries. In keeping w/​the Spanish theme, we settled on super-​yum Super Antojitos (

Decent Tustin Park where the annual «Concerts in the Park» is held on Wednesdays during the summer. It is bum central though, but there is a big playground that attracts many kids.
