Stella is an incredible teacher with a passion for spreading her love of music and is committed to the experience of her students. She is wonderful with all age groups and has a great rapport with each individual student. Her musical expertise is irrefutable and she shares this with all of her students through insightful instruction and a stern but compassionate approach. The school itself is situated in her home, which gives a warm and inviting atmosphere; you immediately feel right at home with the instructors, students, and instruments. I couldn’t recommend her more. I know with OC School of Music I am receiving personalized instruction from a teacher who truly wants to see all of her students flourish.

Both my 5 year old son and I attend this music school, and it’s the best! I take guitar lessons and my son takes piano lessons. The director, Stella Kotova, is a phenomenal piano teacher and has a magical way with children. You can tell from the first moment you meet her that she is passionate about what she does. She commands respect and concentration, but also makes the classes fun and entertaining. She can keep a group of 4 – 5 year olds’ attention for an hour, and that speaks volumes. My favorite thing about Stella and her music school is that much emphasis is put on personal responsibility. If you don’t practice, you don’t get to participate. So it teaches children at a young age to be responsible for their actions. In a society where a majority of children are not taught accountability, this is huge for me. We will both be attending this music school for many years to come!

The Orange County Music school is a wonderful place to learn piano because of the energy and talents of it’s founder, Ms. Stella. Stella Kotova has been teaching piano and voice lessons for over 30 years and has amazing instructors and references for guitar, violin and cello. My son has been playing for over 10 years and still enjoys his lessons.
