OC Hospice

We just want to let you know, how grateful we are, to have the help and guidance of O.C. Hospice. In addition to their home visits, Angie (R.N.) and Anna (LVN), are always just a text or phone call away — if we have a question. We never had this kind of support or response to our questions, from our parent’s long time physician or their staff. Angie, Karla and Anna anticipate our parent’s needs, even before we are aware of them. We are so grateful for their help, clinical expertise, and compassion. Many thanks.

Once we made the heartbreaking decision of hospice care for our mom, a doctor recommended OC Hospice. After speaking with the liaison, we agreed. They helped us get mom home within hours. Unfortunately, we only had her for 24 hours at home, but the nurses were wonderful. They did what needed to be done without feeling intrusive. We were able to hold mom throughout the entire time. OC Hospice helped me to follow mom’s wishes… Letting her go, without pain and with her dignity intact, at home in her bedroom.
We did have a few problems with one nurse, but when I called the director with my concerns, she was very sympathetic and responsive. I would recommend OC Hospice to anyone that needs to make this heartbreaking decision.

We are so very thankful for the wonderful care my mother received from the entire OC Hospice team for her last several months. They are all dedicated, compassionate, highly skilled, caring people who truly love their work. We had a fabulous hospice volunteer as well. Highly recommend this incredible team.

I am so appreciative of the OC Hospice Team. When the hospital advised me to put my mom on hospice care, I felt that the team that the hospital recommended did not care about me or her. I felt pushed and railroaded. The OC Hospice team was recommended to me and when I contacted them, they came in and took care of ALL the details. I did not have to worry about anything. I was able to focus on my mother’s last days.
My first holiday season without my mom has been tough. The OC Hospice team has not forgotten me and stays in touch with me. They care not only about servicing my mother they care about servicing me. When everyone else has moved on with their lives OC Hospice remembers me. Thank you

Our entire family is deeply grateful to the wonderfully caring, dedicated and compassionate team from OC Hospice that took such great care of my dear mother-​in-​law during the last month of her life.
We were afforded such peace of mind, knowing that she was regularly visited by various members of the team, who all made sure she was kept comfortable and pain free. From Nurse Practitioner Tracey, who oversees all of the clinical people, to RNs and LVNs, who would take care of medications, CHHAs who would bathe her and look after her personal care. Great comfort was also provided by Pastor Mark Fitter and Social Worker Erin Kim. Volunteers were also made available, but my mother in law did not require their company. Her last weeks were made more bearable and peaceful, for which we are truly grateful!
Thank you, OC Hospice, for being there for us and taking care of all the details that ensue a person’s passing. It surely made a very sad day into a bearable and peaceful day. We also would like to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to OC Hospice’s founder, Mrs. Lyn Kennedy, as well as congratulate her on having created such a wonderful hospice company, based on the following philosophy: «Because We Care». We can attest to that being the absolute truth!
