Small businesses should avoid this company like the plague! I am a small business owner and this company called me and gave a great sales pitch about how they were going to get to the top of Google and Bing search results and how they were going to build me this great website. The website was embarrassing and actually turned customers away. I did not get one new client for 6 months and when I cancelled my account when my 6 month contract was over they still continued to bill me and argue with me over the phone. They were unprofessional liars who stole hundreds of dollars from me. Then at the end to part on good terms they offered me $ 50. DONT FALL FOR IT!

They said 30 days we will have you on front page of Google then it turned to well we said Either yahoo Google or Bing then that was well we said 30 – 90 days and look we have you on yahoo .
IT TOOk 14 months to get me on Google !!!
And then it was just one key word and if you didn’t search it just right no one was finding me!!! Another trick is they use a key word with a zip code so if someone search with just that city with that zip code they would find you!
So I needed a change to my web site it has already taken 9 days for what they said would be 24 – 48 hours !!! And they use the word sorry like it’s going out of style ! I’m sorry someone one else for got to submit the ticket on your change but I took care of it it will be 24 – 48 hours then you call back I’m sorry our server was down!
So I bring up the BBB and the first thing they ask is do I want to cancel (I do and will just waiting for my year to pick up) they guy goes on to tell me that people lie and sends me something I didn’t read about the BBB this company is so full of it!!!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

I wish there was a negative star button, 1 star is too generous for these clowns! We have paid hundreds of dollars, waisted so much time only to have unfulfilled promises and a website that missleads people to what we actually do. It has never ever been on google even once, they only call to collect more money and say «we are working on your account «money is there only interest and they hound us constantly for more! Bad, horrible services, please save yourself and dont go with them. It is so much easier even for and amateur to make a far superior website using
ot something else

In Passed 9 months I’m not in first page of Google, they open one stupid website for me (
) that i told them to close at all… and there is no lead that coming from this company…

I was guaranteed to be on page 1 of a Google search within 90 days. It’s been 8 MONTHS and I’m not found on Google at all.
When I call to request a refund, I’m told that it’s MY fault the site isn’t generating leads.

Very aggressive sales approach. I can’t believe I fell for it. As most people have mentioned, they say they are from Google, which they aren’t. Glad I didn’t sign up for web design, they «duplicated» my site and what they made is awful. I wanted to focus on SEO. After paying for SEO services for 7 months, they haven’t given me any tips for keywords I should be using to get the best SEO. I asked them to make a few changes after a month, and what they changed was laughable. I went onto my account dashboard to try to cancel the account, but found the most disturbing information of all — they offer no options to cancel your account, or even see your billing history.
In the future, I’m definitely checking Unilocal before signing up for anything. The reviews here are all very very accurate. And I won’t ever sign up for a telemarketing deal. I’ve wasted at least $ 700 on them so far and I’m not sure how to escape. Chalk this one up to another very expensive lesson learned.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS COMPANY! I have been using their service for almost three months and I’ve experienced endless frustration for it. First off, the sales guy I dealt with (Robert) described aspects of their service in ways that were NOT true to form. Much of what they offer can be accomplished by anyone with a basic understanding of how to use a computer and the Internet: i.e. creating accounts on social media, online directories, and search engine business listings. I ended up doing most of that myself, because Local Lighthouse was taking too long.
I figured I would stick it out with them just for the website they were creating for me and for the first page placement on the three major search engines, but having to explain even SIMPLE changes for my website to them over and over and over again has become beyond frustrating. Half the time they don’t follow through, and when they do it’s done wrong half the time. At the moment I am STILL waiting for numerous changes/​corrections to my website that I have been requesting for a month now! I have spent hours on the phone with «customer service» going over them again and again…
Finally, I got ahold of a supervisor (Daniel) to handle my account two weeks ago. Turns out I was better off dealing with customer service! Most of the changes remain undone and the guy won’t return my calls or emails!
We’ll see how they respond to my online complaints. The next step is cancelling my credit card and possibly taking them to court.

I was offered a bunch of promises and products and so far after $ 259.00 and 3 months of patience, I have not received anything I was promised!
To give you what an example of what a scam this is: New sales people within Local Lighthouse continue to call me to sign me up as if I am an unsuspecting victim. Thankfully I am smart enough to know that if I am being scammed, I can simply lose my Visa Debit Card that is linked to this BS. I would like my $ 259.00 back and I may sue Local Lighthouse! I will update if on how that goes…
If you have signed up with Local Lighthouse my advise to you is to loose your credit/​debit card that you signed up with and they will not be able to steal any more of your hard earned money!
I can’t believe that there are entities out there who do this sort of thing and I feel so sorry for small business owners who don’t know any better and are just trying to make a living!

SHAME ON YOU LOCAL LIGHTHOUSE !!!
You should go and make an honest living rather than take advantage of naïve business owners!

I want to be clear that my complaint was solely about the company not canceling when I asked them to cancel the first time, telling me my account was canceled when I called them the second time, and telling me my account was not yet canceled when I called them the third time. I have no complaint about their services of adding a domain name and rewriting my website in order to draw more clients to send to my website. My only complaint is that they did not cancel when I asked them to, and continued to draw money from my account. Thank you, Local Lighthouse, for considering refunding the $ 138. I will look for it on my next bank statement. I sincerely appreciate the righting of the imbalance!

Months and months of robocalls. «This is Shelly, your online specialist with Yahoo, Google and Bing». Every time I got to a sales rep they were trained to hang up the second you ask any questions off script. What’s the name of your company? :click: the second I’d ask them not to call me anymore: click, so eventually I just started wasting their time. Making up fake businesses or pretending to be a really confused old person.
It took me a long time to get to a sales rep that would tell me the name of the company «Lighthouse Marketing». I called the number on their website, (888) 370‑8231, and spoke with a nice young woman who claims I won’t get anymore calls from them. We’ll see.
What’s the point of that National do not call list anyway? What a joke. This company is blatantly pissing in its face out in the open.

These guys have called my personal cell every almost EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR 2 MONTHS NOW with a robocall. It’s incredibly deceiving because the robocall says that the Google+ listing is in danger of being taken down for my business. Incredibly dishonest, shady way of going about things. Finally got ahold of Rafael at this company and after I asked some questions to see why they were calling me, he hung up on me.
Do yourself a favor and avoid shady businesses like this. If you had half a brain and offered SEO services, you should probably build your SEO profile to find clients… that’s what you’re selling isn’t it??? You don’t do what you sell?

I would call this company the scum of the earth, but that would be a compliment. First of all, they randomly call businesses pretending to be representatives of Google and then try to push their crappy cookie-​cutter SEO services on people. FYI, Google doesn’t offer SEO. I’ve tried several times for them to remove me from their calling list, only to have their reps hang up on me, cuss me then hang up, and they absolutely refuse to give out the name of their company, or if they do, they lie (trust me, I’ve had several ‘wonderful’ instances of me trying).
I’m just glad I finally figured out the name of this horrible company so I can warn others.

Local Lighthouse has me on a robocall list. I have tried to unsubscribe to no avail. I have called their business directly to request placement on a do not call list, yet I keep getting unsolicited calls from their ad campaigns.
They will robocall you frequently with a message asking to speak to the business owner. You have to press 1, then 2 to speak to a live person. That live person will hang up as soon as you as for any details.
These are crooked marketers that do not respect privacy requests. They deserve zero stars.

Terrible!!!Read reviews but not too late. Great at passing and taking the buck.
Went to log in and they claimed my name was invalid. On the phone they couldn’t find acct by my biz phone # that they had prev called. These were bright red flags for someone promoting my business when they couldn’t assist me.
Contracts can be cancelled in any state within 3 days. I think if my Capital One rep had not been on phone recording the call, as I wanted the charges cancelled, they might have passed me from rep to rep (which they did anyway) got disconnected and any other stall that was plausible. 5 Stars to Capital One.
If they could work their magic promises they should start by eliminating the negative reviews that seems to be flooding Local Lighthouse.

We have received some calls and emails from Local Lighthouse and what they’re offering is not true!
In general, anyone promising front page of Google SEO is full of it. It’s mostly out of their control as Google crawls the websites and does a lot of analysis to determine where pages rank.
I can’t believe that there are people out there who do this sort of thing and I feel so sorry for small business owners who don’t know any better and are just trying to make a living! For those of you who are small business owners and are looking to increase exposure and profitability an excellent way to do so is to pay for clicks with Google Adwords. It’s done wonders for us and may work for you as well.

I have just posted snapshots of an email from Local Lighthouse that contradicts your response «Local L.» They keep removing these snapshots so you will have to view the pictures on my Unilocal account in order see them.
And Google has recently filed a lawsuit against them, thank goodness. Search for «Google files suit against Local Lighthouse» to see more info.

I tweeted about my negative experience and how this company violates the FCC regulations and impersonates Google, and they called my employer to try to get me fired. Well nice try, it didn’t work.
So pathetic. The act of a total coward.
Yes, I admit I made a joke about mailing them diapers as junk mail, but perhaps it was on point, because they have now proven they are children.
