Established in 2013.

Ideal Luxury was founded in 2013 by Mark Schechter, the Co-​Founder of Jewelry-​N-​loan in Costa Mesa, California. Jewelry-​N-​Loan has an impeccable reputation as a successful retail and internet based luxury pawnshop which Mark and his Father Jack built together. Mark’s fascination for watches and fine jewelry came from watching his parents exchange such gifts when he was young. This fascination later grew into a passion for the finer things in life. After more than 20 years as a successful business executive, Mark partnered with the successful entrepreneur in his dad to pursue their passion for fine watches, diamonds and jewelry.

Mark Schechter has been in Southern California for over 30 years. After a long and successful career in corporate america, he resigned as the Executive Vice President of a local consumer finance company to enter the watch, diamond and jewelry business. Mark was raised in a family who had a passion for these items and he easily inherited this passion. For nearly 10 years he has been helping people buy, sell, trade and get loans on fine luxury items. He prides himself on sharing the knowledge he has gained and using it to better serve his client’s needs. You won’t find another luxury dealer who works harder to satisfy the requirements of their clients. Most important, he will make sure the process is painless and fun whenever possible. Mark is a graduate of USC, a triathlete and loyal Angel fan. He lives in Orange County with his wife and three children.
