Henry’s Handiwork

I have had the pleasure of working with Henry for the past month and I have to say that he is extremely knowledgable and good at what he does. He is a very easy going and accommodating individual. He makes recommendation and he makes sure he delivers a quality job. His prices I think is very fair and he goes the extra mile to ensure his customers are happy. Great job Henry we’ll definitely be using you in the future and can’t wait to try those hot tamales of yours.

We’re remodeling our kitchen and needed to relocate a kitchen island to a new location. Since our old island had a cooktop with downdraft. We needed to relocate the underground ducts as well. Henry was a pleasure to work with. He’s at the job site 95% of the time. He does professional and super clean work. His prices were reasonable. I’m a very picky customer and I highly recommend him.

I hired Henry to repair a wooden patio deck that was falling apart. He’s very prompt & showed up with two other guys to finish the job within a day. His price was totally reasonable & we’re happy with the results. I’m going to have him check out a roof leak next.

My husband and I were SO impressed by Henry! From start to finish this man is a complete professional. Price quoted was the price we paid with zero mark up. This isn’t a sloppy contractor that doesn’t show pride in his work. Perhaps that is why (according to other negative Unilocalers) he’s turned down work in the past. Personally, I would rather have a contractor be honest and not bite off more than they can chew doing poor jobs because they’ve spread themselves too thin. That is called integrity — something that’s not easily found this day in age. His team is quick and gets the job done! Will recommend to everyone I know! Two thumbs way up!

Called and spoke with Henry, it was a good 2 minute conversation. Explained to him that I am purchasing a home and need a quote on some repairs that I plan on making to the home once escrow closes in April.
His response?
We are booked for a month and don’t need any more work.
so I said «well, escrow closes in April so mayb — «
Henry interrupts and says «no thanks, uhhh good luck with that.»
CLEARLY! Henry doesn’t need my money!
Business Tip for Henry: Be nice to customers ALWAYS, its because of them that you have work. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

I hired Henry to fix a few piers that had settled, and shim a few sagging beams.
We traded a few phone calls and e-​mails, and he showed up on Monday morning at 8AM just as promised.
Him and his assistant poured concrete, reset the piers, and shimmed the beams. We discovered a few hiccups at the end (totally my fault), but he didn’t grumble, simply unpacked his tools and got back to work. He stayed a few extra hours to make sure I was completely happy with the work.
Henry is professional, focused, detailed, and explained everything along the way. He’s someone I can trust to do more work around my aging house.

My husband and I highly recommend Henry! His work is excellent, he is honest, he tells you when he is coming and then comes on time, his crew are all kind and diligent people, and he keeps to the bid he gives you. Oh, and his price was very good.
We needed a patio converted into an additional room. This involved blueprints, city inspectors, tear-​out, foundation laying, framing, roofing, stuck-​o, drywalling, electrical, putting in tile, painting, etc. Henry did such a great job that we kept asking him to do additional projects. He has built cabinets, replaced our baseboards, put in a solar tube-​light, and my favorite, a skylight!
We also appreciate how he shared his knowledge with us on projects we were doing ourselves. His calm manner is also a plus!
Again, we couldn’t recommend him enough!!!

I hired Henry to install a pocket door. He arrived with his assistant on time, made sure they didn’t make a mess, and completed the job in one day! Originally I was told it may take 2 or 3 days, so I was extremely happy when he busted it out in one day. He charged a very fair price and the door works and looks good.

Henry and his team did a very good job in remodeling my master bathroom! Me and my husband are satisfied with his works. At the end, my husband keeps asking him to do some other little things too, other than master bathroom project. He’s pretty responsive to my calls and text messages. Also, like Gracie said, his bid was competitive and he’s a very mellow person.

Henry was so great. I had him come fix some old posts in my yard and he was on time, friendly, efficient AND great about clean up. Can’t ask for much more in a contractor. He did the work for a low price too. I definitely will recommend him to any of my family or friends.

I used Henry from March through May, even though the house sometimes looked like a war zone this job was so much smoother than our kitchen redo, Henry takes pride in his work and wants contented customers.
I found Henry through Unilocal,had him and a few other contractors give me estimates. His bid was competitive & I liked that he was a very mellow person, I like & need mellow, also, he’s the owner & worker and always answers the phone himself. The others were pretty much salesmen and I had to wait hours for a return call, plus they wanted me to choose my vanity cabinets only from their show rooms, NO, been-​there-​done-​that.
Henry contracted to do my two bathrooms, he did much of the work himself and was there every day, even if a sub-​contractor was there. Each of his sub-​contractors were as respectful of my family & house and as polite & quiet as Henry. He arranged to meet us at a cabinet store also tile store for each bath project. I really wanted «old school» pull out drawers for the front bath vanity/​cabinets, plus kitchen height and a certain color stain, it took some looking but he found a slightly shorter one that he & the granite contractor built up to my wanted height, matched my stain, found great granite samples to choose from, it’s perfection.
After the baths were done, I had him strip all the hall & foyer wallpaper, prep & paint. Moments after he left on his last day, my husband & I turned to each other and said,
” I wish Henry had done our kitchen”. I would have no problem reccomending him to family and friends and we of course will use him again when needed.

I used this contractor recently and was very satisfied. Henry, his son Josh, along with two other employees did some repair work for me. They were on time, very courteous, and did the work according to the estimate, and finished on schedule. I definitely would use Henry again.

Henry and his crew were superb! We had a bathroom redo and Henry treated this like a big deal. He and his guys were courteous, friendly, yet got right to their jobs. The workmanship was top of the line and they made sure all of our floors were covered to prevent any damage. If we have any other home projects to do in the future, we will definately call Henry. Thanks Henry, job well done.

Henry has been the General Contractor for our major house addition, supervising a team of superb subcontractors to transform our home. He performed a 1000 sq. ft. two storey addition in under four months which is evidence of his organizational skills and experience as a GC. The project included everything — foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing, capentry, drywall, painting, stucco, roofing and so on.
Henry made the project enjoyable and is completely trustworthy — making my wife and I feel like he was treating the addition as if it were his own home. He was an expert in guiding us through the many decisions that are required when you undertake a construction project and always seemed willing to do what it took to make us happy.
Henry’s bid for the job was also very reasonable and the only cost differences were due to enhancements we added along the way (improved roofing for example).
