Our escrow process went very smoothly. The staff (we worked with Melanie) is friendly and well organized. We never felt like we were being «pesky» when we called with questions. As a matter of fact I’m writing this review almost a year after we closed escrow because we needed copies of our closing statement and they were just as friendly and accommodating as when we were active clients. On top of that, the information we requested was received within less than an hour! You can’t go wrong by choosing this firm.

We had a home to sell (by owner) and we started by getting recommendations and reading the Unilocal reviews. We narrowed the choices and ‘interviewed’ two escrow offices. We were connected with Karen Wisdom when we called First Class and her professionalism put us at ease. She answered ALL of our questions. The buyer was likewise impressed. The home just closed and Karen made it an easy process. She was always available by phone or email. I can highly recommend Karen.

I’ve been working with First Class Escrow since 2004, and have had A+ service since. Though I’ve dealt primarily with Melanie Rountree, the rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Melanie is our rock solid go-​to for anything escrow; be it our listings or our refinances. Any time we get a counter offer on a listing where the buyer requests a different escrow firm, the answer is always absolutely not.

Lori has done four mortgages for me, and it has been nothing but first class service! Her attention to important details is refreshing, and makes me feel confident everything is being handled in a professional manner. I highly recommend her.

First Class Escrow is just that «First Class» I switched escrow companies a few years ago and use them exclusively. Melanie Roundtree is the best escrow officer you could as for. She goes the extra mile with a smile and has been calm and collected through some very difficult transactions When I’m forced to work with other companies due to another agent, I usually cringe! Hands down best escrow in Orange County. I’ve been doing loans for over 20 years and I’ve worked with a lot of different escrow companies. I decided to give them a try with Kristen as my escrow officer. Best customer service and professionalism I’ve ever experienced. The previous reviewer was too kind in her review. It’s true: You NEVER end up dealing with the escrow agent. I had a lot of difficulty getting a hold of Jason Sherrill. The only times I heard from him via email was when he was telling me that I hadn’t signed and sent the documents that he needed, which, of course, his assistant, Gina Jamarillo, didn’t send over for me to sign. There was just a major lack of communication all around. I was a first-​time buyer, and they assumed that I knew all their processes. I know I don’t have a choice in who the seller decides to go with on the escrow company, but the seller did himself a disservice. He was eager to close, just as I was, and with the lack of communication, there were so many opportunities for the escrow to get delayed or even get cancelled because they are so disorganized. If you are thinking of selling your place and need an escrow company, I highly recommend you skip this place.

This was the company the seller chose to complete our escrow process. I wasn’t overall impressed with them or the quality of their work. Yes we closed escrow but I do not feel they added or sped up the process.
After about a week into the escrow process they called up my agent saying we had not dropped of the earnest money check, which I had. When I called to find out what happened turns out they had just misplaced my receipt. Also don’t expect to ever talk to the escrow agents, just their assistants.
