Business Owner

Dan is the agency owner of the Kitajima Agency. He is dedicated to protecting and servicing our clients with affordable and quality insurance from Farmers Insurance. He is always committed to making insurance with Farmers FAST, AFFORDABLE and EASY for our clients. The Kitajima Agency was the #1 new business Farmers agency in the western region of the country in 2012 with 2,283 new business policies started. After graduating from Cal State Long Beach, Dan started his career as an Auto Club Sales Agent in 2004 and was one of the top agents during the 3 years there. In August of 2007 opened his own Farmers Insurance agency and has already been recognized with many awards already. (Toppers Club in 08, 09, 10, 11 and 12 and was a Farmers Championship Agent in 2012). In 2012 Dan was honored to be selective as one of the 25 original agents for the Farmers Agency Platform. He lives with his wife, son, dog and cat in Orange County, CA.

I just can’t say enough great thing’s about Dan’s team, especially Sonya & Ruby. When the underwriter didn’t like to photography skills for the photos need, they we’re so sweet and let me know what to do, agreed that my pictures were fine, but just made me relaxed just with their tonality so that the 2 day delay wasn’t that big of a deal. They have always gotten us the best pricing in conjunction with the best service. We’ll be with out insurance agent, Dan Kitajima (and his incredible team) for a long time to come.

I have had my auto and homeowners insurance for years now. Initially I contacted them because AAA decided after a few years of coverage that my home was in a high fire hazard zone and they would no longer insure it. It seemed odd as It was in the middle of a development of stucco homes with all concrete tile roofs. As it turned out I not only got coverage, but also a rate reduction and after checking on auto insurance save even more money with Farmers and The Kitajima Agency. They now also insure my motorcycle. I have been solicited a number of times by companies claiming they could save me money. I have on a couple of occasions said OK show me. No one to date has been able to do so. It would have to be quite significant for me to consider leaving as the service has been excellent which is also worth something. I am a real estate broker and recommend Farmers to clients looking for insurance.

Had a really nice experience with a Farmers Agent Isabel Nishimoto. I recently needed to obtain an SR 22 and found a reasonable rate with Farmers. I had called 1 other Insurance company that was trying to charge me double the fees that Farmers charged me. I’m glad I called them for an estimate. I thought they would be very expense turns out they were not. Progressive insurance would not even insure me. Anyhow the agent made the experience less embarrassing and actually quiet easy. Thanks again Farmers. Soon I will switch my partners insurance and my renters insurance.

Im a very busy person I work all day and take care of my family in the evenings. Since I sit at a desk all day I decided to look around for some quotes. I got in contact with janet at this Farmers insurance location and we communicated via email. I live in North County San Diego. This was easier than going into an office. I got a quote and finalized everything within a few minutes. It was fast, easy and super convenient for me. Alot of other places refused to help me via email and wanted me to call or walk in, but i dont have time for that. She gave me a quote much less than Freeway insurance! This is the right place to go to, if you would like to purchase the new insurance for your car. Janet was help me got same farmers insurance but a lot lower price. That is really good. I know there have some tricks about those agent who try to make more money from customers, but Janet and their company did not do that for their customers, at least me and my friends both feel comfortable and satisfied when we purchase the insurance from this office and Janet.
Awesome employees and clean office environment, most important thing is they will give you best price that you couldn’t imagine it. you guys have to check it out.

I’ve been with a few insurance agencies through the years; but none compare to farmers. Especially this group. I referred my sister, mother and even children to them. And I’m protective when it’s family. Laura and Janet are very professional and have worked to get us a great deal without the hassle of a middle man to pay more than we need too.
