I have used Dr. Oh in the Los Alamitos office twice. Both times he has been very thorough and I received the best treatment. He is very calm and takes time to explain things to you.

I called at 4:30 on a Wednesday and the office was closed. I then left an extensive message explaining that I would be a new patient, what my needs were and and asking them to call me to set up an appointment. No call on Thursday. No call on Friday. I just went on line and see that they close at 1:00 on Fridays so obviously no call today. So AT BEST it will be a 5 day turnaround on returning a phone call. If that’s how sloppy they run the front office of their practice there is no way I am going to be interested in seeing them for my actual health needs.

Very unprofessional staff! I have insurance PPO yet I was charged over 133 dollars as remaining!!! I paid the copay. I was not told there is going to be more chargers certainly not 133 dollars! also I didn’t get better going there I ended up going to family doctor which gave me what I needed to heal and I feel much better!

Nice guy but not a good doctor. He gave me bunch of antibiotics for laryngitis but none of them worked. Then, on my second visit, he did the laryngoscopy again and again gave me some pills that didn’t work either. It was frustrating because it seemed like he didn’t really know what was going on. Then I went to another ENT doctor near my office and he was able to accurately diagnose the problem. I am still not 100% cured but beats taking some random meds with nasty side effects.

I am going for a procedure surgery called septoplasty to reduce turbinate and fix deviated septum. The reason for this surgery is because i cant breathe properly, my nasal airways is too small and this has been going on since 1999.
I’ve been on and off afrin since then,
Doctor Oh and his apprentice Dr. I forgot her name was very good handling me, gave me all details about risks and whatnot and thus making me brave enough to go through with this surgery.
The staff also very good at what they do, they call me and leave me messages, do all apointments promptly and even help me to talk to Doctor oh and giving me some discount on price.
So far this clinic has been nothing but good,
I dont know what the fuss is all about?
I was just being polite and nice and i get a wonderful services from the staffs and Doctor.
Right now im just waiting for my surgery to be done and see for the result,
If its good or bad i will rewrite this review in a week or so.
Hope this helps for those having trouble breathing with their nasal airways.
STOP THE AFRIN!!! It’s even worse than drugs

This update is just to confirm that I most likely would no longer go back to this clinic, mainly because of the confusion again on scheduling and procedures in this office.
Dr. Oh should consider re evaluating his staff, because his practice might suffer and lose patients due to his staff, not because of his performance.
I like the fact that Dr. Oh does not prescribe medications unless necessary, and he does not give you a list of specific brands for supplements that you might need. I respect him for that.
BUT the most recent experience with his staff traumatized me somehow, and makes me not want to step foot inside that clinic. I will only see Dr. Oh in the future for emergency ENT needs only, but not for sny follow up because I do not want to deal with his staff anymore.

Dr. Oh is an absolute great doctor. He is very meticulous and has great diagnosis. The reviews all below seem to be other staff members NOT Dr. Oh.

Dr Oh himself is a very nice guy, so this is no slight against him… mostly. He seems to know his stuff and his staff was super accommodating when it came to helping my student insurance work properly (even if it took 4 – 5 calls to get it working).
It was all fine until the bill showed up.
I had a minor neck cyst, but Dr. Oh was insistent that there was an issue in the back of my nose (which, after getting a second opinion, was nonsense). As part of my paid appointment, he said he was going to put a tube up there to check it out. Literally a two minute procedure. I was not informed regarding whether or not this would cost more, and as such figured it was part of the appointment.
That was until the bill showed up. $ 350 for «Nasal Surgery,» ON TOP of the $ 120 office visit (which, like the previous $ 120 office visit, had me waiting in the waiting room for 45 minutes past my appointment date, then another 20 in the actual room itself, only to see Dr. Oh for about 5 minutes where he said «I dunno what’s up.»). Now, I’m no doctor, but my father is an Optometrist, and if he charged $ 350 on top of a regular appointment to look into someone’s eyes a little more than usual he’d be out of customers in a week. Again, we’re talking a two minute check for something that wasn’t even a problem. Thank goodness I didn’t have him perform all the other stuff he was hinting at; I’d have run out of money before we even knew what the issue was.
It’s been mentioned in other reviews, but this office is really bad at letting you know what you are going to be charged for and how much it is going to be, which for me is a dealbreaker. I’m all for getting the best care, but if you say you are going to do something as (and I quote) «part of the appointment,» I don’t want to see an almost quadruple sized bill for you spending seven minutes working with me instead of five.
Find a doctor that’s more forward about his charges, or is more competitively priced. There’s plenty in this area to go around.
(It’s also worth nothing that I got the notice from the insurance BEFORE his office even bothered to send me the $ 350 bill. So they aren’t really on the ball, either).

Dr. Oh did extensive sinus surgery on me and placed ear tubes in my daughter’s ears. I would echo the sentiments that he is an excellent physician and very responsive to patient care.
I would give 5 stars excpet for some scheduling issues with his office staff. But, if you have someone shooting a laser into your sinuse cavities their abilities as a surgeon are far more important than the quality of their office staff.

Dr Oh is efficient, polite, and GREAT doctor: His front office is also very nice. Not only he is a good doctor, he is also a very honest doctor. I just don’t understand all the negative comments about him and his office.

The doctor’s office responded to my review and I wanted to say this:
I appreciate your message and think that it is a good idea that your office try to make patients aware of the cost if at all possible. I would like to correct you that the first time I tried to refill the prescription it was less than a year. The pharmacy said that the woman they spoke to was giving them a hard time about getting the prescription refilled. My only assumption to that was I was in the middle of a payment plan for the bill and that month’s payment was not received. Again, I do appreciate your response here but I did want clarify the events when it came to ordering my prescription. The 2^nd time I tried to refill, was a mistake. I had used the Rx number from your original prescription versus the Rx from my current. I didn’t realize I called in the wrong Rx until the pharmacy called me to tell me I had to come again. That, was after the year.
I understand you need to run a business. I am sorry I could not pay you in full at the time of billing and maybe that may have affected the service I received when I called in my first refill. Either way, I did not appreciate the customer service at your office but I am glad that the office will be trying to rectify that in some way.

I’ve seen Dr Oh before which was a pretty painful experience, but this time I was in to see his young associate Dr Furze, who needs to be fired immediately.
I wont get into the gory details of what he did to me but let’s just say that after 3 excruciating and expensive visits with furze for an ear problem, I am left worse off then when I came in, facing permanent hearing loss and future surgeries to fix what he did. I went in august, and now in December I am still unable to pop my ears back, I have been living in a tunnel for months :(
