I’m pissed off. Used to get my eyebrows threaded & then I walked in to ULTA& the girl at the benefit brow bar, Jillian asked how I get my brows done. After I told her I get them threaded, she told me that she really wanted to fix them because they needed fixing. So I trusted her & she waxed them & made them pretty. I was satisfied with them, especially since I’m Persian & have pretty thick brows. I’ve gone to her twice since then. Today, I had an appointment that I booked TWOWEEKSAGO. I walked in 5 mins early, & no one was at the benefit brow bar. I asked another associate for Jillian, & I was told, today, ONMYAPPOINTMENTDATE, that she no longer works her. AREYOUFUCKINGKIDDINGME? First of all, I pay GODDAMN $ 20FORMYEYEBROWS when I used to pay $ 8 for threading. Second of all, I barely started going to Jillian & was happy with how my eyebrows turned out and she didn’t have the decency to tell me that she quit?! I’m a full time student and work a part time job at the bank. I don’t have time to waste for people who obviously don’t give a shit about their clients. The associate said there was another person, but I don’t want 50 people working on my eyebrows and constantly changing the thickness and shape. Then they tried offering me 20% off my next eyebrow session. No thanks. I don’t need your shitty 20% off deal because you feel bad. Have proper customer service & inform your customers and clients if anything has changed from the last time. Don’t waste your time there. Find an actual eyebrow salon who keeps proper clientele & quality customer service. Don’t make me come in on my appointment when I’ve been waiting two weeks with my hairy brows that need to be cleaned to find out that you don’t even work there anymore. Talk about rude and shady.

So I NEVER write reviews, but I just had to because I know how difficult it is to trust your eyebrows to someone. I literally used to get my eyebrows waxed twice a year due to extreme skin irritation. After browsing at the store for makeup, I decided to try the brow bar and loved it! Definitely don’t let anyone get you waxed other than Jillian. She’s the best! I now come every four weeks religiously. Not only are my eyebrows perfect every time and receive tons of compliments, but she is also super nice. Thank you Jillian!

So I’ll compare my experience at this Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta with the one I used to frequent inside Macy’s in South Coast Plaza. South Coast Plaza: –Can do walk-ins, lots of staff on hand –Get waxed in a store area with a lot of foot traffic or nearby the escalators. –Usually very fast as they have a lot more customers At Ulta: –Pretty much can’t do walk-ins, appt is necessary unless you get lucky –They work at a much slower pace than South Coast and are pretty friendly and chatty –Still get waxed in the center of the Ulta store so there is some foot traffic around you. I’ve been getting my brows waxed at Benefit Brow Bars consistently for about a year now. I see huge improvements in my brow shape, fullness, and hair growth. I like that no matter which Benefit Brow Bar I go to, my results are almost always consistent. It is much more hygienic than the nail salons I used to get my eyebrows waxed at for a third of the price. They never ever ever double dip and will go through as much cotton pads, strips, tissues, or whatever you need to get the job done. I recommend the brow tint that they offer, it allows you to not fill in your brows as much. I like this location at Ulta better even though I can’t be a walk-in because it is a much more relaxed atmosphere. The girls working there are always very helpful and nice, the South Coast location is just too hectic. Another benefit of doing it at the Ulta location is you get points on your Ulta card!
