Albertsons

Walked in to buy groceries and was very confused because I had never been to that albertsons but I was helped by this young man named Jorge that worked in Starbucks he helped me find the things I needed, and was very polite as well! The only thing I wasn’t pleased was the lines at the cash register I waited 15 minutes! They need to change that, they are very slow!

I decided to take a breather this weekend and get some «me» time. I was at the bank across from Albertsons and decided to buy groceries here.
Store was a bit warmer than normal markets and how I know this is because I’m usually frozen when I leave the market at other stores, but at Albertsons, they keep the grocery store way warmer than other markets. Makes me wonder if that’s great in preserving freshness.
Market clean and veggies fresh with a great selection but they are limited in the dairy section. They don’t have organic milk. Whaaaaa?!
The check out guy was fast even though there were barely any customers. I was quite impressed watching him bag my groceries like he was a master Tetris player. No need for annoying club cards. They got rid of that useless card so all sale items are given without it.
There was hardly anyone in the store but single ladies!. If you’re looking for a guy who’s actually single, make sure to go to the market at this hour on a Saturday night. I ran into two young stud muffins shopping for groceries on a late Saturday night. I would say that’s a good sign if you’re looking to meet someone unattached and not a partier and you’ll have an idea of what they eat or how well they eat by looking at their groceries. If I see a guy picking up Old English beer, that’s a definite red flag haha I’m not sure if anyone else goes through this but there have been plenty of times where guys have followed me throughout my entire shopping trip, through every aisle, all the way to the parking lot, and to leaving their numbers on my car window. Sometimes I even get a rose with a number attached. And when I see a single guy at the market I get really nosy, and always look at what he puts in his grocery basket because Im curious to know what his lifestyle is like. So guys make sure to put down that Shake N’Bake when you see a hot girl and pick up the filet mignon haha
Another downside is the fact that they have Coast 103.5 playing all these depressing love songs. Definitely do not come here late night, on a Saturday, if you’re heartbroken. Walking through the aisles, in a store with dim lighting, which seems like a ghost town, with depressing love songs playing, will surely have you calling your guy and coming over with a bottle of wine and a frozen dinner LOL

It is a supermarket.
This branch is on my way home from the gym, so I will occasionally pop in here for a quick shopping. The produce and meat and fish selections are fine, which are really the differentiators when picking a supermarket. Evey place had bread, milk, etc. Prices are very reasonable as well.

This particular Albertsons has a lot of open space… because it lacks self checkouts. There is a lot of open space to maneuver in the produce area.
They have a clearance section in the back of the produce area in front of a fire exit that stores all of their clearance seasonal stuff. There is a lot of it there. They have a lot of the same inventory as other Albertsons, but it is less squished together.
The human cashier sounded overly bored but they got the transaction done properly and applied our coupon properly.

NO MORE SELF CHECKOUT??? How ridiculous, this made it easier to get in and get out without the hassle of waiting in line. Now the last 3 times I’ve gone I’ve had to wait 5 – 10 minutes each time even with their 15 items or fewer line. I don’t understand why they didn’t keep it.
I WILL do my shopping elsewhere and so will my friends who feel this to be a sad way to cater to the unions that request more employees which will then increase the price of the products.
We are adults that can scan our own items and input our debit card info.

Visited the location attempting to pick up some deli items. Deli supposed to be open until 9pm. Visited at 8:35pm and was guilted into how difficult it would be for them to reassemble all of the slicers just for me. If you don’t want to be open that long, CHANGE YOUR HOURS. I will never visit this location again.

Great prices.

Wow, half of the items on the shelves were expired already (jam, really?). Organic frozen foods section was overrun by clearly non-​organic options. High prices everywhere… Headed back to my beloved TJs.

I ordered a thomas and friends cake for my sons birthday party on Saturday November 2. A young lady by the name of elena took my order we went over the details and everything there was even a picture that they had on display I told her just like the picture. I paid for the cake up front $ 29.99 and was assured everything would be amazing. My boyfriend picked up the cake because I had a full party going on when I asked him how the cake looked he said ok. It worried me but I though a grown man won’t cake about thomas. When I got the cake I almost died it had nothing it was white and had a thomas picture on it that’s it no tracks no nothing. I couldn’t believe I called to see if I had gotten the right cake on the bakery person had no idea what I was talking about she told me the cake was exactly how I wanted it and she found nothing wrong with it when I ask to speak to a store manager they told me he wasn’t there I left all my information and he never called me back I went to other bakeries and show them a picture of the cake that they gave me and the most someone would charge me was 1499 for that cake it is now Monday and I still haven’t had word from anybody over at Albertsons word of advice don’t ever order a cake from here they didn’t even go out of their way to cut out the rice paper the whole top layer was covered in rice paper everyone looked at me weird at the party when I brought out the cake so how to explain a couple of times what had happened I warned all my guest and suggested they never order from here. Next I’m calling corporate let’s see how that goes.

This is one of the best grocery stores to shop at. They are accommodating to my needs and continue to impress me on each visit. I’ve heard that the current Store Director is one of the most respected in the grocery business.

Love this place. The people working there are amazing and the produce is so cheap! No more cards, so the price listed is the sale price whether you have a card or not. I’m going to keep going back.

Terrible customer service! I paid full price for 4 boxes of cereal that were clearly labeled 4 for $ 1.88/each. They rang up full price and no one walked back to check. I bought the only size they had! I just got eye rolls and attitude. I went home and checked the ad /​sure enough they were on sale after all! Out with Albertsons and in with Trader Joes — where they give a crap about customer service and they have better prices!

This review is for Albertsons bakery:
Just wanted to make a quick review in regards to the wonderful staff they have working at the bakery. Went in on a Tuesday to browse cakes for my God daughter’s birthday and found a design I liked but her bday wasn’t until Friday. One of the bakers over heard me saying that I would hope to find the same design on that Friday and noticed I looked bummed out. So he said I could place an cake order to assure that I would get the cake and design I wanted. Got to choose the filling which was nice. Both gentlemen were great and friendly. The cake tasted delicious and my god daughter was very happy. Thank you Albertsons Bakery!

This store has the worse and nastiest people that work in the Deli Department. They are rude and not at all helpful. You ask for ½ lb of cold cuts and they give you whatever they cut without explanation. In summary THEY SUCK

This is one of my favorite grocery stores in the area, hands down! They have a great selection and everyone has always been super friendly! Their prices are very reasonable compared with nearby competitors. Redbox and Coinstar are a bonus at the front of the store. You can also recycle your bottles and cans at their recycling center outside.

Today is my first time going to my near by Albertsons. The cashier YOLANDA help me a lot of things, I have coupon, but I really dont kown how to use it, Yolanda was very nice to tell me how to use it, she was really nice one. I just wanna say thank you for her.

I went to the customer service counter to get assistance and was at first not even acknowledged with a May i help you or anything. Being the only person there it was blatant disrespect. When I asked for assistance the gal didn’t want to stop playing with the flower bows. Okkkkkk. I asked for a roll of quarters and she didn’t want to help me at the register. Another employee came over and got the quarters for me seeing the situation. Worse the manager did not want to have this rude employee apologise. This makes about the third time this has happened. The other occurrences were with the attitudinal deli kid. he doesn’t wait on folks if he can help it. The manager explained its because he’s in the Union that they can’t fire him. Hmmmm maybe you need to put customer service first, union red tape second.

Albertsons get 4 stars, but my review is geared towards Frank, Cashier, 0 stars. I mean, this guy just doesn’t pay close attention to the customers. The first time he «grilled» me, just shy of a KGB interrogation. I was purchasing alcohol and my legitimate CA ID was’;t scanning in their machine for verification purposes. I do look good for my age but it was clear I was totally clean. It’s as if i was 20 years old and trying to pull a fast one on him. So after a number of close eyeballs and up and down looks at me, and me explain to frank that its ok, this is me, see the holograms etc?
At the time it perturbed me, but after a second «run-​in» with this fine gentlemen, I immediately thought back to back to the future when Biff slammed into that pile of manure, only I was dreaming it was frank who got smothered in the dung.
The second time– Frankie, Come on now, where’s your decency man, why don’t you respect the handicapped? You treated my great friend who is physically disabled, as if he were mentally disabled. Now thats classy and righteous. Keep scaring good customers away. Great for business.
I had to speak my mind after this second occurence.
Upper management, why don’t you have a word with Frank.
He probably doesn’t even respect his elders.

Not much to say than what’s already been said. Place is clean, tidy, and the shelves are pretty much always stocked.
I just wish they would add the potato wedges back to their Monday night dinner meal, but other than that I like Albertson’s. Plus they have self-​checkout which is always a plus!

This place was a madhouse this week. I just knew it was for Superbowl Sunday when kids spiraled gallon ice cream to their brother at the cart, Shoppers ditched healthier food for the tastier junk food — like chips, wings, pizzas, beer, hot dogs — which Albertson’s overstocked. Bring on the greasy, salty, sugary, and the fizzies. There were few empty shelves.
The day after Super Bowl, I was out of food again. So I headed into Albertson’s again when it wasn’t too busy. Strictly on a whim, I decided on a chicken wings with asparagus and yams for dinner. Stuff is fairly easy to find with their newer taller glass cases with their frozen chicken products. I grabbed a 3 lb. package of frozen chicken wings ($ 7.49 with a 50 cent discount for card holders. The wings were injected with a chicken broth which the marketers say adds flavor. But I say it adds water weight and is kind of a rip off. The yams were mostly heavy. Yam that are really light are are dehydrated and less fresh and sweet. ($ 1.99 a pound). The asparagus was fresh, the tips were turgid and smelled good, not funky ($ 2.50 a lb). I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. It is not the cheapest place but not too bad with an Alertson’s card if you get specials.
Produce this time of the year is more expensive and lower in quality because much of it is from Mexico and farther south except the lettuces and cabbages which are usually gown in California. Melons are risky to buy. Unlike Sprouts, Albertson’s here sells cut melons and pineapple by the pound. It’s even more expensive that way but you can at least see, feel, and kind of smell it.
There were lots of different apples and oranges. They had some Ecuador grown heart shaped Kent mangoes last week. They’re the ones with silky flesh, versus the grainy, stringy Tommy Atkins variety which is what they’re selling this week. There were no yellow Ataulfo (aka «champagne» or Manila mangoes), but at $ 1.29 wasn’t too bad. Bananas were 89 cents a pound, and apples were around $ 2.00.
So, I get home, then put foil around one yam into a 300 degree degree oven, put 5 frozen wings on a cookie pan lined with foil plus. An hour later, I put several asparagus spears in foil with olive oil and onion salt. So an additional hour later, it was dinner. And my cooking neither bored or made me sick tonight! Yeay! out a picture of my dinner.
One thing this store still has is a large fried chicken and deli counter and bakery. They still have butchers and fresh seafood. They had some large king crab legs ($ 13 a pound) and some good looking NY-​bone steaks ($ 7.00). It wasn’t as cheap as Stater Brothers this week that were selling them for under $ 3. a lb. as a weekly special.
In a pinch, this store is great. But make sure you get an Albertson’s card. The staff is quite helpful and friendly. This store is clean, well lighted, and generally well organized.
