All of the staff here was so helpful and caring. Nobody wants to go to an emergency vet. You know as soon as you walk through the door that it is going to be expensive. But the staff was willing to give me options as much as possible. This was a very serious injury that brought me in.
Dr Sarah Beamon was unbelievably warm and empathetic. I wish she could be my regular vet.

This is the third surgery our little Dexter has had at this hospital. Dr. Cambridge is so kind and caring, as is his staff. After surgery, they encourage phone calls to see how your pet is doing. They are more than fair with the cost of their services and we are happy to pay as long as our pet is taken care of with love! We always recommend this place to our friends and can’t say enough about it. Love love love this place !! Thank you Dr. Cambridge and staff for taking such good care of Dexter!

I had to take my pet here recently for complications from another animal hospital. I would have to disagree on most of the reviews, being in the animal field myself, I know that most hospital staff are never allowed to give quotes over the phone because what an Owner says over the phone can be totally different in person. Pets cant say what they feel, so therefor it is our job to figure out what is going on, which means a lot of testing. Enough ranting about other opinions, I know their job is stressful, but I just wanted to thank all of you for saving and treating my baby like it was your own baby! If you want your pet to get the best care, this place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Terrible customer service over the phone. Will not give a price quote for any services. What the heck?! I have to pay $ 139 to walk through the door and then it’s all a surprise? I received three quotes for xrays for my kitten from other pet hospitals. They couldn’t even give me a price for one xray. I will go elsewhere.

I had a terrible experience at the Internal Medicine practice at AVSG Tustin. I went to Dr. Duesburg thinking that as a specialist she would follow my cat’s kidney disease, who was in IRIS stage 3 when I brought her in. She did a ton of testing for $ 1200 and gave her medicine. Then as she became sicker and was eating very little, and became constipated, so I took her into the after hours care. Dr. Cranz saw her and didn’t suggest getting blood values/​electrolytes checked to see if it was a result of her kidney disease (even though in her report she mentioned her history since I had been there the week before and everything was in the computer). She told me that she «didn’t need to be hospitalized.» The next day I called and spoke with Dr. Duesburg. She told me to bring her in the next day and she would stabilize her and drain a cyst she had on her stomach. I asked her what her kidney values would need to look like for her to be stabilized, and she became defensive. She told me she «wouldn’t do a procedure on a cat in kidney failure». However, she didn’t ask me one single question about her symptoms, nor did she suggest getting blood and electrolytes checked to see where her kidneys were functioning at. She just emphasized this procedure, even though my cat was older and frail. I kept trying to ask her questions and get feedback, but she was very non-​communicative, cold, and abrupt. I don’t think she cared or wanted to help me understand what was going on. She never mentioned my options or the need to bring her in for bloodwork.
I ended up going to another vet, who immediately took her blood and checked her electrolytes. She was extremely low on potassium, so much so it was life threatening, and gave her supplements. Neither doctor at AVSG mentioned that this could be a possibility. The communication between Dr./patient, patient/​administration is unbelievably horrible. I had to call at least 2 or 3 times for anything. Paperwork, important medical questions, etc. I even hand delivered a copy of her bloodwork from the vet to the receptionist. They never got it to her file, and 3 days later the dr. on duty said she didn’t have it. Neither doctor thought to tell me that she needed to have a test for her kidney values or electrolytes, even though she wasn’t eating/​going to the bathroom, and they knew her chronic kidney disease history? No one asked about her symptoms or took the time to understand what was going on. Two days later she was lethargic and when I brought her in, Dr. Vorathorn, who seemed very nice, was on duty. She wrote in her report that she was urinating often in large amounts, but that was old news. She hadn’t been urinating consistently, if at all. When I asked her about it later, she apologized and said it wouldn’t have changed her treatment anyway. However, a cat that hasn’t been urinating consistently– not for about 5 days, eating very little, constipated, with kidney disease is most likely progressing further into kidney failure. After she passed, they said it was most likely sepsis; but maybe a stroke; or intestinal hemorraging, or maybe a burst cyst. No mention of the kidney disease as the most likely cause. After she passed away, I asked one of the office staff members to have the dr. call me. Then I called again the next day, and the next day, and another 2 times the week after that. I finally got a call a week later from the doctor. The whole experience added more trauma to a terrible time. I can’t express how much I regret coming here. My own vet would have followed her better than the specialists here.

My dog was very sick and my local vet wanted us to take her to Advanced Veterinary Specialty Group in Tustin. We balked at the idea because it wasover 30 miles from us but we could not find the same type of specialty hospital in our area. We went and we are so glad we did. They did not try to talk us into a bunch of x-​rays and unnecessary tests.
My dog was put on a medication regimen and they have called multiple times to see how she is doing and to adjust her medications!
If you ever find yourself in a position where you need a vet specialist keep them in mind. They have a customer for life.

I just wanted to thank Dr. Morrison for taking such good care of my very sick dog Boo Boo Bear! I am so lucky to have found a cardiologist who is so knowledgeable in his field and so kind. If anyone need a excellent Vet (cardiologist) I highly recommend
