Villas At Parkside

We showed up at four and there was a sign on the office door saying that they weren out walking the complex and that they would be back shortly. My husband and I decided to walk around and check out the complex a bit ourselves.
The complex itself didn’t seem very well kept. There were tree branches and leaves all over the place, and a bunch of pieces of a large fence just left out in the open on the side of one of the apartment buildings. The pool area looked well kept though. I must say that the outside of the apartments looks much nicer in the pictures.
We saw a lot of little kids running around playing by themselves, one barefoot mom came out to chase them and yell at one of them for a minute.
We went back to hang out around the office at about 4:30 and still no one was there. We waited till about 4:45 and decided to leave. As we were walking back towards our car we saw a man and a woman walking around holding keys. We started to assume that they were property managers. They saw us walking around exploring the small complex, waiting by the office, and they did not approach us or acknowledge us in any way. We started walking towards them and they started walking away, we said excuse me a few times trying to catch them, but they just kept walking, maybe they didn’t hear us? They hit the corner and started going into an apartment when my husband ran over and made eye contact and said excuse me again. The woman was already in her apartment but the man about to go in caught her attention for us.
She said yes? I told her that we were interested in seeing a unit. She said that she didn’t have anything to show us, that we could go look at the pictures online and fill out an application there. That she was pre-​leasing. I asked her when a unit would be available and she said next month.
At this point it really felt like she didn’t even want to deal with us. We left and scratched this place right off of our list.

I went down to villas at Parkside with a friend to see about renting an apartment. We really want to live there, on all the rental websites it seem like a really great place and the complex itself was really beautiful. When we went up to the leasing office there was a sign on the door that said that the office was closed and the staff would be back at 3:45. It was four.
Figuring that maybe they were a little late and they would be back soon my friend and I had a walk around the area. It was nice, we liked it. At about a quarter after four we went back to the leasing office and it was still locked and the sign was still up.
We decided to knock on the door because you could hear people inside. Around the blinds we could see a number of women sitting in chairs and talking. We kept on waiting and finally about five minutes later the women came out and we figured we would finally get to talk to someone about leasing an apartment. But the door was immediately closed after them the sign was taken down, readjusted to say that they’d be back at 9 o’clock, and then put back up.
The office hours said that they were open until five, and the whole thing just really soured us on the apartment complex. It just seemed very rude and disrespectful to prospective customers.
