Red Brick Bar & Grill

Burgers were amazing. With my fish and chips, they had homemade tartar sauce. But, Soft drinks from the bar had a faint taste of alcohol, even when they were replaced. My pregnant wife opted for water instead, but we were still rung up for the soda.

Nice looking venue, but DJ sucks (according to my personal preferences) which I believe adds to the already low energy crowd. I used to could tolerate coming here before DJ started playing these mixes he’s done the last couple of times I’ve come. Officially not coming back.

Best place to go in Turlock for dinner or for a fun night out. They have a great dinner menu along with on Friday and Saturday nights after 10p.m. they turn into a night club with an awesome outside patio area where you can smoke hookah and listen to music, along with having a dance floor inside with a great DJ. No cover charge and great drink specials.

Nice venue but the scene is a bunch of 21 year old thugs… the staff is very rude .They have security that look like a bunch of ex cons and they walk around with attitudes. Not a great place to hang out your better off going to piano bar or udder bar much more classy…

After reading reviews on here. I had to think back to when I had bought a drink here at the outside bar. I lost my debit card… hmmm seems like a lot of people lose there cards here buying drinks at the bar smh! They probably figure your drinking & just rushing to get out the crowded space by the bar so your not fully paying attention. I still don’t know what happen to that card but that night I cancelled it & just got a new one but anyways. just makes me think. Be careful people

Bartenders outside took over 30 minutes to close my tab and to my unfortunate surprise, lost my card and tried to brush it off as if I hadn’t seen them give it back or as if I hadn’t given it to them in the first place. I was treated like a dumb drunk girl who couldn’t keep track of her belongings but was actually sober and had just offered to buy the next round for the people i was with. We asked to speak to the manager who rudely left and never returned to speak with us.

Love this place for dinner! Great menu choices, and I’ve always been happy with my food. The staff here is attentive and nice, and has always made us feel welcome. Try their mile high burger or the salmon, so good!

The nightlife here is sweet. They have a large nice outdoor patio, and the drinks are fairly priced. The bartenders know what they’re doing, and I’ve always been treated with respect… definitely my place to go for a fun night out. Highly recommend.

The bartenders and owner of Red Brick are incredibly rude and treat their customers horribly! After one particular confrontation I was appalled at how I was treated. I used to come here on the weekends but I’ll be taking my business somewhere else. This establishment needs a lesson on customer service and remember they are only open because of customers. Also, the bathroom was dirty and ran out of paper towels — gross and not okay. This is definitely not a classy bar/​club that the owner likes to think it is!

Came here on a Friday night at 5:40. No hostess and went to the bar. Friendly waitress but attention was lacking and only one other person in restaurant. Seems like this place is better for the night scene. Cool
They had kids menu and menu was mainly burgers with a few other items. Oysters were not that good and would not recommend.

I had to wait more than 30 minutes just to close my tab. I had employees tell me multiple times that they were looking for it. All the while, I’m listening to a man (whom I assume is the owner) yell at a girl and make her cry because they had lost her ID.

Very rude after a friend of mine got kicked out because she supposedly «stumbled» in a supposed «VIP» section because the dudes there were unhappy with her after being there a couple hours because she wouldn’t «put out» because she’s classy. Screw this place and their pathetic wanna bee «Orange is the new Black «look a like security guard thought it was necessary.

Definitely will not be going back. $ 11 a drink for a very small Vodka mixed drink is pretty steep considering its TURLOCK. I expect to pay that in San Francisco not Turlock. The bouncers are unprofessional and rude. They’ve seen too many episodes of the ropes.

I’ve been here a few times and the bouncers at the door have made me never want to come back. I brought my friend from out of town a few months ago. He told the bouncer he was excited to see how red brick is compared to San Fransisco clubs, the bouncer replied with «don’t get to excited it’s nothing special,» in the rudest possible tone. Great promoting right??? Last night I decided to go back again, and again the bouncer acted like he didn’t want to be there. A girl in front of me gave them her ID and they told her it didn’t look like her, she tried saying quietly she gained weight and she hasn’t taken a picture since she was 18. They still didn’t believe her and turned her away. I wanted to cry for her!!! They are so rude I will not be returning and I suggest other people not to either!!!

Came to the line to get in had 7 people behind us let in before us for «bottle service» c’mon people this is turlock 13 dollars covers a bottle charge for New Amsterdam. If you’re a macho lose this is the spot for you

Definitely taking my business elsewhere. Went last night to celebrate a birthday and the security guy with a Napoleonic Complex wanted me to go pick up a cigarette butt I threw halfway into the street. I understand if I would have thrown it on the sidewalk but I think it’s too far as to not let me in for not picking it up. I went down the street and happily spent $ 100 at another bar.

Love the customer service here. Great oysters & burgers and beer battered fries. There drink menu tends to be too sweet so order beer or wine. I will be back for food.

I was responsible for helping plan a night out/​bachelorette gathering for my Livingston based cousin. Luckily a good friend recommended Red Brick Bar & Grill which made my job so much easier. I live in Fresno and haven’t been to Turlock enough to check out the restaurant/​bar scene much at all. I did not want to let my girls down so I had high expectations and hopes. I called ahead and was very impressed by how welcoming and kind the staff was when I told them I wasn’t from the area. We arrived at 8pm on a Saturday night and had a wonderful dinner here. The food was GREAT. We have a mix of vegetarians and non vegetarians and one child – everyone was happy with their food. It was fresh, tasty and came out at a good temperature. At around 10pm the restaurant switches over to a lounge/​night club. Because we had a small child with us, we had a little misunderstanding that was handled in a VERY professional manner by the owner, Stephen and bar manager, Spencer. As someone who works in customer service and knows not everything is always «perfect” – I admire a business that can handle a misunderstanding/​conflict/​issue in a professional way, communicate effectively and still make sure their customer has a great night. No complaints whatsoever!!! Thank you gentlemen!!! Our entire group had a wonderful time: from dinner to taking pictures and meeting locals, to getting down on the dance floor to a variety of good music-​we are all looking forward to more nights at Red Brick Bar and Grill!!! The only gripe I do have is that Turlock is an hour and a half drive from Fresno. Wish it was closer so I could patronize this great establishment much more often! Forget big chain restaurants, local owned business is where it’s at!!! If you’re in Turlock – check it out for yourself! I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Nick and Nelson are by far the most amazing bar tenderers! Great environment, awesome drinks. Love this place. I will for sure come back.

10 East was a 30 min. wait so we decided to try Red Brick. Glad we did. I had the Guacamole burger with red onions, tomato, lettuce, avocado, cheddar cheese and guacamole. I enjoyed it with a yummy salad with a fabulous chipotle thousand island dressing. Then my Bestie and I topped it off with Salted Caramel Vanilla Crunch Cake, light but buttery, vanilla pudding, rich caramel cake, salted caramel crunch layer, and a creamy custard with a caramel finish. WOW I was blown away.
The only thing that wasn’t that great was the margarita that was on special. It just didn’t taste right. Everything else from the service to the food was superb. I would definitely recommend this place to people and will be coming back to try different dishes.

Location: close to Main Street; Setting: roomy and semi-​formal; was told the restaurant is about 6 years old and has 11 years of catering history. Food: a few choices other than hamburger. For the group of seven people, 3 chose the same main course of Cajun Shrimp and Pasta. The cooking was rich and tasty; Drink: limited choice, and a pitcher of draft beer was not offered; Parking: easy and free; Recommendation: if you are Turlockers, you got to try it.
