Specialties

Contact Lenses — We specialize in fitting contact lenses for almost every situation. Daily disposable contacts for sports and part-time wear, soft lenses for astigmatism, and multi-focal lenses can reduce the need for reading glasses! We evaluate and fit custom RGP lenses for normal eyes as well as corneal diseases such as keratoconus, Pellucid Marginal Degeneration and for patients with previous corneal surgeries or transplants.

Eye Diseases — We update our office with the latest technology to detect and manage all of the most common eye conditions including diabetic eye problems, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and many more. We also offer same-day office visits for red, irritated eyes or sudden changes in vision. Please call for an appointment: 209.634.8591

History

Established in 1954.

Our office is in it’s fourth generation of ownership starting with Dr. Musgrave, then to Dr. Marvin Brain who eventually partnered with Dr. Dennis Brewer in the early 1970s. Since then, thanks to Dr. Brewer’s hard work and personalized care, the practice has grown significantly to the present day. In 2010, Drs. Brewer and Irish formed a partnership and changed the name of the practice to Monte Vista Optometry and redefine the new team. We still provide the same outstanding service and high-quality eye wear that Turlock has experienced for over 50 years!
