Fairfield Inn & Suites Turlock

This review is not for the hotel, hotel was great. It’s for the rude blonde overweight manager at the front desk, she needs not to be in the service industry. Her facial expressions and tone of voice are flooring for being in her line of business. Very shocked a hotel like Marriott would have her representing their brand.

Clean modern facility. Friendly attentive staff. Very nice midrange rooms. Again, clean and modern, with very comfortable beds and nice furniture (fridge, microwave, TV). My bathroom had a nice tile floor with a large glass walkin shower with upscale faucets and shower head. The complementary breakfast was better than a lot of places, with waffles, eggs, fruit, and more. I’ll come back.

This is a really nice hotel. The staff is friendly and this place is clean. Free breakfast with all kinds of things to choose from. There’s a train that occasionally goes by but it didn’t bother me at all. I slept well here. It’s in a great, convenient location. I highly recommend.

Kudos to employee Brittney for her excellent customer service! Today I needed to deal with the hotel by phone (on behalf of my employer, who used the hotel in October) and Brittney happened to be the one that answered the phone. She was pleasant to speak with AND she went out of her way to help fix an issue that we’d created, without any frustration or attitude. I truly appreciated working with her!

Great service. Clean rooms. Plenty of food and staff was constantly tidying up. One the employees (wish we got his name) offered to help find my niece’s retainer that was accidentally thrown away at breakfast. He went through the trash that had already been thrown out and found both pieces. It was a very nice gesture and he didn’t have to do that. We really appreciate him going the extra mile in the name of great service.

Got in a bind and needed to check in early and front desk girl went above and beyond to accommodate us. Hotel is VERY clean and up date.

Although the hotel isn’t «technically «a five star hotel, in its class I would give it 5 stars. Clean, friendly staff and convenient. We have stayed here on several occasions now for business and will continue to use this hotel and brand.

I would first like to mention I have always stayed at Fairfield INN’s near Sacramento, L. A, and Washington. Not to mention I’ll be in L. A & Chicago later this year and YES there is only one place I will be paying to stay. In regards to the the Fairfield Inn & Suites near Turlock, California it deeply saddened me that we cannot stay there being my wife’s company booked a room for us at a different hotel. This was done without our knowledge until today 1÷27÷15. My wife and I are not looking forward to the other hotel simply because the image, level of cleanliness, and professionalism you get with the Fairfield Inn by Marriott’s have never been matched in our judgement. Without the knowledge of being booked at a different hotel we booked a room here, simply because if we pay there is only one MARRIOTT brand we want to stay with! During this time there was a small minor detail in the process of getting the reservation cancelled and reimbursed. When I spoke with Mary the Front desk manager she was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and one of the most customer service oriented manager’s I’ve spoken too in quite some time. Having a high standard of customer service myself (our business is word of mouth,) I do not issue this compliment out much. Not to mention get on Unilocal and explain to the public my experiences. For me to take the time out and give Mary praise for the work she did by listening, understanding, and quickly resolving the matter at hand, reminds me how my wife’s Company made a mistake booking a different hotel. Not to mention Mary’s supervisors need to read and hear about the incredible job she is doing representing the MARRIOTT FAMILY. I hope Mary & her supervisors read this review because Mary’s actions again reminds me why I only want to pay for one brand The Marriott family. Thank you again for all your help Mary!!! ;-)
To Mary’s general manager– I’ve briefly explained my experience & situation above to you and the world to see. I hope when you read this you give MARY a well deserved raise or a very extreme recognition award for her EXCELLENCE in customer service. I haven’t experienced that level of professionalism in quite some time. This is a lost art these days and when I run into at the highest level possible It needs to be mentioned!!! If you would like to speak to me more, or something better in writing I am very happy to do that as Mary’s deserves all the recognition for her EXCELLENT JOB!!!

This is a great place to stay. I was recently in Turlock for work and stayed here a few nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Bathrooms and showers are pretty large, bigger than other hotels.
This place offers continental breakfast, very decent selection of food. Eggs, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, bacon, sausage, waffles, milk, juice, fruit and much more.
Another plus, this hotel is located in a strip mall type place with restuarants, retail, etc. Always nice when you are stranded in the middle of nowhere.

We drove in to Modesto for a wedding and decided last minute to book a room instead of driving back. We didn’t care for any if the options in Modesto so we decided to drive a bit further to Turlock. We found this Inn on Unilocal and it had great reviews. Customer service during our check in was friendly and efficient. Location was a plus right off the freeway (99) and close to shopping, diners and fast food. The establishment was clean. Our room was nice but the bed was very hard. It made it hard to sleep but that’s a personal preference. The room came with coffee machine, microwave and fridge. The complimentary breakfast was nice with both hot and cold choices. We would definitely stay here again if we ever have to travel to Modesto again.

This was my second visit to a Marriott brand hotel and two needs improvements to a Marriott associated hotel.
I stayed for business. Check-​in was friendly, quick and helpful. Hotel room was comfortable equipped with an okay mattress, decent shower, and desk. Room was kept well by housekeeping staff and internet connection was intermittent okay throughout the visit. Hotel had a pool that I didn’t check out.
The rest of experience. I am out in Modesto for business and needed to print documents. Printer for hotel guests was not in order. Front desk tried to get IT to help but was provided it would be a day. Front desk tried to print the work papers for me and was directed to go next door to the other chain for printing.
This was the first trip to a Marriott that not a printer was available to use. I would have to rely on other hotel chains if I have to schedule any of my five business trips in the year if this is what I should expect of a Marriott associated hotel.
Gym was small and kept with respect to supplies to wipe the machines down. Nothing outstanding.
This hotel offered a breakfast that was okay for the business travelers breakfast. Nothing spectacular but nothing bad.
Hotel had flavored water in lobby that refreshing. Hotel had smell lingering from outside that trickled into the lobby at various hours through the day. Not a good smell.
Suggestions for this hotel:
Have a printer that works or hire better maintenance or IT staff. Possibly get some air refreshers to help reduce the smells from outside.
Overall I would not recommend this hotel for a business traveler at this time. Three stars as I have experienced worse at another Marriott location. Nothing horrifically bad.

We stayed here with my kids and family, for a family gathering. The hotel accommodated a block of ten rooms for us and gave us a great rate.
The pool was clean and the facilities well taken care of. Breakfast was great each morning and the wifi was awesome for the kids!
The staff was wonderful, the rooms were COOL, clean and in order. On top of having a fridge and huge bathroom, we were able to reserve a suite which has a living space and bedroom.
I would definitely stay here when we are back in the Central Valley or the Turlock area!

I usually stay using points from Marriott in these type of hotels (Fairfield Inn, Town Suites, courtyard). This one exceeded my expectations! I travel with my family of 5 and we all loved it! Very clean, affordable and up to date with trendy décor.

While my traveling companion had some issues here with reservations, I have thoroughly enjoyed the property.
They have a breakfast buffet, that seems ok; but I am morning Starbucks guy; so I never had anything here.
The staff is extremely friendly and a pleasure to deal with; especially Irene.
The rooms have flat screen TVs and comfy beds.
There are some drawbacks to the property, but most are due to the chain overall:
— The towels are rough and thin
— Bathroom is cramped
— Toiletries are low end
They are located across the street from a Starbucks drive thru and close to other shops and restaurants in the area.
Word of advice: They are in close proximity to Cal State — Stanislau and during the year there are a lot of visiting sport teams that come through town (Golf, Baseball, etc), perspective students and fill up the few nice properties in town: MAKE sure you have a reservation before showing up, especially Mon/​Tu.
Overall I would say this is one of the better properties in terms of quality and service I have stayed in @ this price point. I wish there was more to do in to
