Its an OK rest-stop… Its a life saver when you gotta go discretely to either urinate or defecate efficiently. Either for your dog, or for yourself as well… And please people, pick up the poop after your pets. OK! Come here on Spring, the view is nice, everything is full of life. You can here the birds chirping. The landscaper mowing the lawn, to maintain the beauty of the rest stop. But overall, come summer. Its just dreadfully sad. Everything is so brown, with the drought. Only thing that stays green are the trees and a coupe shrubs here and there… Oh, and plenty of parking available. Some shades here and there provided to park. As it comes with the bathroom, every time I visit to do urinate at the Pee Collector thingy, the aroma in the bathroom doesn’t smell like gas station bathroom. Its well ventilated. And heaven forbid, I never poop at rest stops. Never know if a creature will pop up or something. Considering the rest stop is in the wilderness… And its best to come here during the day time. Never at night, FORYOUROWNSAFETY… Leave the rest stop for the truckers who parks here at night to get a good night’s sleep after a long journey. One last thing, BRINGCASH only if you want to grab something to eat from the Vending Machine courtesy from Blue Star Memorial Highway Rest Area… and. and. COINS too, preferably QUARTERS if you need to call a friend and have a small chat to use the payphone provided on site.

The bathrooms were filthy. There was a fly sitting on a piece of shit presumably having a feast when I opened the bathroom door. It darted towards me as I tried to get away while trying to relieve myself. Also if anyone wants to stay here for 8 hours plus, sorry you are SOL as there is a strict 8 hour parking limit clearly posted!!!

It’s a pretty standard rest area. Nothing scenic to see. Few benches and tables. Clean restrooms. Think it’s the only stop for a while heading south.

The bathrooms were terrible!!! Thank god i only had to pee and didn’t have to touch anything. The landscape was nice and well taken care of. I dont know if i stopped at this place at just the wrong time or what, but please clean ur bathrooms more often!!!
