In my donut world, there is only Shipley’s and Krispy Kreme. Both are to die for hot. I wouldn’t bother in the afternoons, as they tend to cook in the AM and then sell from that batch all day. By lunchtime, they’re not the same experience.

This is a local donut place that leaves you satisfied and wondering why you ever liked Dunkin. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were sold out of bear claws, so I opted for a maple donut and a plain glazed donut. Both were warm and fresh from the maker. I actually watched my glazed roll off the machine. The donuts are light and airy but perfectly flavored. The maple was delicious and the toppings are not at all lacking. Their coffee selection is pretty good too, cappuccino, coffee, several flavors, etc. Go here!

Nothing better than a Shipley’s do-nut! If you’ve never tried Shipley’s, do yourself a favor and try these do-nuts, you’ll never want to eat a Krispy Kreme or Dunkin’s again. Recs. — Bear Claw, Butterfly Roll, or Cinnamon twist/roll.
