Specialties
New Market Skills Center Deli is a Culinary Arts program in a Career and Technical Education School for High School Students. We are a short order Deli and Cafeteria for the school, servicing the public as well. Students learn hands on approaches to scratch baked goods, international cuisine, daily specials, soups and sandwiches while earning their High School Diploma and maybe transfer credits to other higher education.
With a specials menu that changes Monthly, a full bakery, quick slices of pizza, and great burgers. Every one is sure to want to come and support all the students here at New Market.
We also have Monthly Special events centered around the seasons, or other major holidays.
History
Established in 1988.
As one of four of the first Skills Centers in the State of Washington, New Market has been at the forefront of Career and Technical education since the beginning. Students are trained by industry proven standards and Educators from local Industry. Working with an Advisory Board of local food Professionals that help train students to be work force ready, and College ready, students have a jumpstart on what ever they do.
New Market’s Deli has been a lunch staple in the Tumwater area for many years. With many businesses growing up and around the New Market Industrial Campus. Come in and join the students in a learning Adventure.
