Funeral Alternatives of Washington

I don’t even know where to start with these awesome people.
At one of the worst times of my life, when I found that my father had died unexpectedly and my world was turned upside down, I was overwhelmed and in a daze,
(May of this year) they were SO incredibly HELPFUL, sweet, thoughtful and kind.
They have good character. I was previously told to watch out for funeral homes that imply that you must have your loved one embalmed even if they’re being cremated because that is blatantly false and entirely unnecessary.
Right away Funeral Alternatives
made it very clear that it was unnecessary since we were going forth with cremation quickly and not having a viewing.
They separated our Dad’s ashes for us, so that we could all have our own, and wouldn’t have to do it ourselves.
When I came to pick up his ashes, I had an unexpected, mini-​melt down on the way there.
They immediately offered me tissues, a drink (water) and they dropped everything, listened and were totally available to talk with me through it.
I had to be somewhere else immediately after that, they sent me with
tissues to-​go and
told me to call if I had any questions at all, needed anything or just wanted to talk.
(I didn’t need to, but it was comforting to hear that they cared… which was refreshing since I had once dealt with another big, local funeral home
that had a go-​to line for EVERYTHING, including when they have your car towed:
«We are so sorry for your loss»
SERIOUSLY. The unnamed place really said exactly that when they had my car towed. Hahaha! I was like «WTH?» Are you SERIOUS?” Robots!)
I am deeply grateful for Funeral Alternatives’ help. I felt like they’re doing what they do because they sincerely care about people and I recommend them 100%.
