I think this place is closed. Rumor is the owner died. The exterior looks great if you are looking for a location for a zombie movie.

I give two stars only out of respect for what I know this restaurant can be/once was. I have eaten here before I joined the Unilocalisphere and this place was GOOD! Stress on was. Went last night and they were out of lamb and gyros… that should have been the first sign. When the Greek restaurant doesn’t have lamb, it ceases to be Greek and is just another Mexican restaurant. We decided to try the chile rellenos and the chimichanga. There was only one other table occupied in the restaurant yet it took over an hour for our food to arrive. After the initial drinks, we were never tended to again for refills, water, anything. On the bright side, my wife said the margarita was good. We were sitting close to the kitchen and could hear the distinct sound of microwave cooking. Maybe it was just being used to heat something up? When our food finally did arrive the chile rellenos were rubbery and chewy and my chimichanga was soggy. The refried beans tasted like dishwater. The food was also delivered with a comment about it taking a long time due to being made from scratch. I feel bad, really. This place seems to have gone downhill both in quality and service. It used to be a very friendly atmosphere, but I’m pretty sure the woman working there is the hostess, waitress and cook so she doesn’t have a lot of time. If you go and they happen to have gyros, go ahead and try them. They used to be great! But I don’t think I’ll be able to muster up the courage to go back. Also– make sure you have cash. No credit cards accepted at this restaurant.

Incredible, fresh home cooking by people who really care about what they serve. Hubby and I finally tried this little gem — and now promise to be regulars. Maria, the wife, cooks and rightfully takes pride in her dishes. Ingredients are locally sourced and nothing is frozen. The night we went she had been unable to get local lamb — so no lamb shank or gyros. Undeterred, hubby had the linguini with shrimp in an extremely flavorful, light cream sauce with spinach and just the right amount of herbs and spices. I had the spanakopita — just the right amount of spices in a delightfully layered phyllo crust. It came with a side of potatoes and green beans. Both our servings were quite generous, and neither of us thought we’d be able to eat it all because of the equally generous and fresh Greek salad that preceded our entrees. But we did, stuffing ourselves to the gills. The building itself is showing its age a bit, but it’s clean and the tables are dressed up with blue and white checkered tablecloths. The restaurant is open Tuesday — Sunday from noon to 8PM. If you’re in the area, it would be a crime not to try it. And it’s worth a drive even if you’re not. The food is that good.

This restaurant is located right across from the Historic State Park so one might think it is the place to go for lunch. We suggest that you go elsewhere. Perhaps the restaurant is(or was) on the right track with a mixed menu of Greek and Mexican food and a cute interior but is(and, maybe always has been) off track in terms of service. They certainly let you know right away what THEY want: NOSPLITCHECKS, CUSTOMERSONLY in their bathroom. And, oh that bathroom — what an amenity! No toilet paper and no sign that there ever was any, a broken toilet paper holder left behind for the viewing customers, a broken faucet, and no running water because of the broken faucet. I mentioned to the waitress that she might want to add a roll of toilet paper to the bathroom. There are so many answers that one might expect from that notice. Hers was(as she pivoted from the table), «Yes, mmmmm» with no sign that she cared. To our knowledge she never reported it or did anything about it. Her attitude was evident right from the start. And, shortly after taking our order she sat down, her back to the restaurant, and chatted with two people. The only time she returned to the table was to deliver part of our order and refill my Pepsi with iced tea! Fully describing the iced tea mistake: It could have been funny but this waitress saw it as my mistake because I had a lemon slice on the rim. She was going to do nothing to correct the issue until my husband told her to take the drink away. She did take the drink away and brought back a measured amount of Pepsi that I had previous to the unannounced refill. No apology, no comment. Interestingly, my original Pepsi had come in a can — which she had delivered earlier to me with a glass including the lemon that I requested! We had good food though we think it is overpriced. We had good vibes from the cook who was there — he served some of the food — though we wonder what he has to put up with. As we left, we heard«rings» of Thank Yous possibly even coming from the table where the waitress sat. But, we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Of course, NOTIP! As we drove further down the road from the Park, there was Wisdom with an overflowing parking lot of patrons. My husband now owes me another meal there, which is where we had planned to go in the first place!!!

Family run, great service(from the owner or his Mom). Great produce, owner knows his stuff. First time there was a 5 star stop, complimentary appetizers etc. Second time no freebies, so it depends on the mood, but it was a great meal. Highly reccomended.

Great Greek food! Had the Gyro and then on a later visit had the lamb shank and linguini. The place is just like their business card states: «great food in the middle of nowhere». If you’re a Baklava lover like I am, you’ll enjoy this twist: theirs has a fruit component to it. Was skeptical at first, but by the time I finished it, loved the different style. I believe it was sliced and baked-in apple. Awesome.
