Yellow Checker Cab of Tulsa

Wouldn’t call them again. The cab pulled up to my hotel and it was an old, old town car. I had a large suitcase and laptop bag plus my purse. The driver was on the phone with his girlfriend I assume. They were arguing because she had found a knife on the couch he sleeps on under his pillow. He said he had it for protection because there were all kinds of weird people in that house and drugs. He was very vocal. Also forgot to mention he didn’t even end his call, he opened the trunk while I loaded all my things in, which he didn’t offer to help. But we got on the road, I was only going about 2 miles. I had asked the dispatcher if they took cards. Not a cash carrier. But he failed to mention the $ 10 minimum. My cab ride was only $ 4.60! When we pulled into the the driveway, I unloaded my own luggage again. And also forgot to mention the dirtiness! The trunk was hollowed out and trash all over, one shoe, crow bar. The back seat was dusty! I was wearing black sweats and when I got out, I had to pat myself down to get all the dirt out. The car was old, the dash had all kinds of engine lights on. The driver stayed on the phone almost thru my whole ride. He was nice once he got off the phone but judging by the nature of his trunk and phone call, I didn’t feel safe. Never again!

Our organization hosted a statewide summit this past Saturday. We had nearly 20 out of town guests who needed to be transported from the hotel to the site of the Summit and back again. Some of them had to return to the airport, but at different times. An additional, unscheduled trip was required as well. Rod and Michelle, as well as the dispatcher whose name I didn’t get, could not have served us any better. All of the drivers were professional. We had arranged for pre-​payment, so any changes were charged to the pre-​authorized card. Every time I called with another change, the dispatcher was prompt and courteous. I should also mention that their prices were more than fair. I would definitely recommend them to others — especially those in similar position as we were in.

If it were possible to give less than one star I would in a California heartbeat. Their drivers are not professionals at all. Drivers of cab number 5 and driver of green cab 390 are crooks — 390 won’t run the meter and then overcharge (15 for what should have been 6) and driver of cab 5 did the same thing then assaulted me by spitting on me and throwing a cup of ice in my face which legally is simple assault. If you can use über I would or at least find another company.

Hit or miss – lately more miss than hit. Tonight my driver didn’t use the meter after grumbling about how the dispatcher had screwed him by making him drive such a short distance. When i asked him about the meter, he became VERY irate and told me «$X is the normal price, if you don’t know that, ask them about it the next time you call.» I paid him what he asked but reminded him I was a human being and didn’t appreciate his yelling at me. He told me, «Don’t make a mistake here, buddy» which sounded for all the world like an honest to god threat. He told me not to bother him anymore and drove off with the door still open. Mind you, I paid him what he asked, so not only was he nasty to me, he was screwing the company by pocketing the money and not turning on the meter. I would speak to the company about it, but the last time I did, all I got was a «He did what? Huh.» Look elsewhere for your taxi needs.

Well after a nightmare with another company THIS company gave me fast professional service. Attentive driver (Adam) clean van. VERY Fair price. Even asked me if I had a preference of which way to go. Will definitely call again next time I need a ride. Super!!!

Unfortunately Tulsa is behind the times a bit on cab service — however it’s getting better. I use this place all the time and usually always have prompt service. (All transportation services could improve in Tulsa .). Like most cities with cab service you must watch out for those cabbies who don’t have their meter going and try and overcharge. This has happened only once but I’ve happened on many late nights coming home from downtown where they tried to pull this. Beware. Be firm. Be nice. And tip ! I would say have common sense when planning and remember that it is a service and your not getting a high end car service.

Call another cab service. If you aren’t in a high traffic area they will «forget» to call in for dispatch. The person answering the phone is really rude and unprofessional. If you are trying to be responsible and get a cab from the bar to your home, they will promise you a cab is coming and it will never come. I’ve been stranded downtown by yellow cab on 4 different occasions and it wasn’t even a busy night. HORRIBLE SERVICE!

Rude drivers who try to cheat you out of your money is the best way I can sum up this company. My husband was injured after being hit by a car and our car was being worked on when I decided to call a cab to take me to the grocery store to pick up some much needed supplies. The cabbie was unfriendly and plain rude. I asked him if he would wait while I ran inside and picked up my husband’s prescription and he curtly said no and then drove off speeding. The cab drivers lie about their services. Today, when my husband’s car was ready we got him a cab to go pick it up. Their website boasts that they accept credit cards but when my husband got to his destination, he was told that no, it was cash only. The driver also took a longer route to up his toll.
Do not. I repeat do not waste your time or money on these rude, unfriendly drivers. They will lie and try to scam you out of your money.

Terrible Terrible. Not only did the driver not show up on time, even though I called the night before, but he ran out of gas and then charged my credit card once per day for 5 days for more than $ 50. I tried to work with the supervisor for almost a month and wound up having to have the card destroyed to stop getting the charges.
Most of the people don’t even speak English. I’d be afraid to let anyone use this company.

We never left the parking lot of the renaissance hotel. I told the driver to stop and I got out. Rude, disrespectful, arrogant driver. I am paying for a service and will not pay anything for any service when disrespected in anyway. Good luck

Take a reservation; show up. It’s pretty much business 101. Where can this company find that course? Completely unreliable service is their motto apparently. Good luck finding a cab co. In Tulsa that isn’t filthy and unreliable though.

The one thing a taxi company needs is reliability. Unfortunately, that is something Yellow Cab lacks. I called the night before for an early morning pickup to go to the airport. I was assured by the dispatcher that they would be at my house no later than 6. Ten minutes after 6, no one was there, so I called again. They had no record of my call and at that point, I was in danger of missing my flight. I had to scramble to make alternative arrangements and barely got to the gate on time. I would never use them again.
