The Traveling Winers on Oklahoma Wine Trail We arrived just before closing and yet they threw open the doors, welcomed us in and were more than happy to share their passion! No rushing, no finger-tapping on the bar, the entire staff enjoying it. As it turns out, they aren’t even employed by the vineyards! They were Whispering Vine«frequent fliers» and apparently friends of the owners, and had volunteered to man the shop while the owner and family were out of town. Don’t know the inside arrangement, but it appeared that payment may have been a glass or two of wine to pay for their labors, which they were happy to drink the minute the doors closed. Reds to the north, whites to the south, nestled between the two is a great deck, surrounded by farmland. Seems like a fun place to go on a Friday night! Bring on the band! I was very disappointed with my experience here. The people who run the tasting room apparently don’t know they are in the customer service business. They were very short and rude with our group. And the kicker is the wine is just mediocre. If you want to have a good time with friends or family at a winery, I suggest you DONOT go here.

We went to visit this place to consider for our wedding. On the phone they said they do weddings, but we pulled in the drive way and turned right around and left. Maybe they have good wine, but it’s not a pretty place by any stretch of the imagination.

A very friendly place. The wines are good. The wine prices are very reasonable. The patio is hot on a sunny summer day. But feel free to deploy the umbrellas yourself if the staff is busy with customers, as is often the case on Saturday afternoons. You get a complementary cracker and cheese plate when you buy a glass of wine. Always call ahead! They are sometimes closed for special events, and there will be no indication of these closures on their website. Their answering machine always seems to be up to date though. The owners are great to talk with. Get on their mail list and you’ll get invites to vineyard events like vine pruning, grape harvesting, etc.
